Anyone know what is happening with the Crooked Pint building?  Looks like signs are coming down now.   I never cared for Crooked Pint, but I think that building has some potential.

Another one bites the dust....Pete's Za on South Wash.  They had some the best pies in town with the Jerk Chicken Calypso, Bought the Farm (ALL meat) and the amazing Korean Sauce they had for their GOCHUJANG Wings - SAD DAY FOR THE LOCAL PIZZA GUYS once again.

anyone tried that cookie's pizza/lavosh place or the bakery (dhi run sweet treats iirc) in the old el roco building?

I tried DHI Sweet Street this morning, donuts are great. I got a box for coworkers and multiple people commented how much better they were than others in town.

I would take Texas Roadhouse over Harry's any day of the week.  Just as good of steak and a fraction of the price.   Last time I was at Harry's paid $60 for a medium rare ribeye and it was medium well if anything.

Harrys has the best cocktails in town by a mile. I think the hate is just for the prices more than anything.

A la carte sides are the killer!  I'll gladly pay $50 for a good steak but throw in some hashbrowns and a house veggie with it at least.  I don't want to pay $20 extra for a pie plate of hashbrowns - yeah you get a lot and can take them home but ever microwave JUST hashbrowns the day after?  No one does that except maybe Siouxfan97!;-)  I kid I kid...

Harry’s by a mile- cocktails, maple bacon appetizer, and proximity prevail (I can walk home if the cocktails affect me)

Right, "confirmation bias."  As in, this article lists many closures and highlights an old stalwart (Blue Moose), but does not mention a single opening.  Don't need a fancy, high-priced consultant to confirm that.

Is this bad journalism, or bad consulting?

Hard to compete with the restaurants in grand forks. It would take quite the establishment to get me to eat there over the Speedway, Blue Moose, Parrots Cay, toasted frog, Rhombus. It’s a real dilemma for me to choose where to eat when I’m in town!

Not Grand Forks but South of there in Fargo.

The Red Pepper is finally coming to south fargo. Will be located right next to Sandy's Donuts in Osgood.
