Just as good of steak and a fraction of the price. Last time I was at Harry's paid $60 for a medium rare ribeye and it was medium well if anything. 1 Quote
Popular Post gfNDfan Posted May 8 Popular Post Posted May 8 "A Taste of Philly" sign is up at the old location of Grand Junction in the strip mall on 42nd across from the Alerus. They have a location in Fargo on 13th. No indication when they'll open. Ate at the one in Fargo and it was decent - real Philly's with the Wiz and more. Side note: miss Grand Junction's fresh grill. Their food truck was up last week in the Columbia Mall "Memories of Lebanon" parking lot and it was OK but not the same. Hopefully Taste of Philly will do better! 1 4 Quote

A la carte sides are the killer! I'll gladly pay $50 for a good steak but throw in some hashbrowns and a house veggie with it at least. I don't want to pay $20 extra for a pie plate of hashbrowns - yeah you get a lot and can take them home but ever microwave JUST hashbrowns the day after? The more the red pepper expands the more people (other than drunk Sioux fans) will say...you know? this isn't really that good. Blasphemy, I know but it's just not that good - sorry. A lot like every Fargo restaurant that's expanded to GF....remember SweetoBurrito? Terrible! Vinyl Taco? passable but ala carte made it hideously expensive and NOT that good. Sickies Garage? - made me puke and that was just for the name not the mediocre burgers they serve. JL Beers is hanging on by a thread - maybe they'll become a weed store like their Moorhead location! That being said I'll still hit up the Pep for food in GF - Sandy's delivers to a local gas station in GF and that's fine but if you want good bakery items check out DHI SweetStreet Bakery in the old El Roco complex.
