Teeder11 Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Nice work!!! That is a hell of a schedule so far -- wow! Can't wait to see the Ladies in action this fall! Quote
dakotadan Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 It appears that we will be playing both Oklahoma and Air Force at the Northern Colorado Classic in Greeley on Sept. 1. Not sure if we will be playing UNC in a non-conference game as well. http://www.soonerspo...lley-sched.html http://www.goairforc...lley-sched.html Sat Sept 1 Oklahoma @ UNC Classic Sat Sept 1 Air Force @ UNC Classic Thurs Sept 13 Montana State Sat Sept 15 Montana Thurs Sept 20 @ Weber State Sat Sept 22 @ Idaho State Sat Sept 29 Sacramento State Thurs Oct 4 @ Eastern Washington Thurs Oct 11 SUU Sat Oct 13 Northern Arizona Fri Oct 19 @ Montana Sat Oct 20 @ Montana State Thurs Oct 25 Idaho State Sat Oct 27 Weber State Thurs Nov 1 @ Sacramento State Sat Nov 10 Eastern Washington Thurs Nov 15 @ Northern Arizona Sat Nov 18 @ SUU Quote
dakotadan Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 According to Stephen F. Austin's athletic site, we will be hosting them, UW Green Bay and USD on August 31 and Sept. 1 in our tournament. But obviously that conflicts with OU and Air Force's schedule that shows us at UNC's tournament that weekend. I am guessing that either SFA just has the wrong dates listed or that it is NDSU at UNC's tournament. http://sfajacks.cstv...lley-sched.html North Dakota Invitational: UW Green Bay, USD, SFA Fri Oct 31 Sat Sept 1 ? Sat Sept 1 Oklahoma & Air Force @ UNC Classic Thurs Sept 13 Montana State Sat Sept 15 Montana Thurs Sept 20 @ Weber State Sat Sept 22 @ Idaho State Sat Sept 29 Sacramento State Thurs Oct 4 @ Eastern Washington Thurs Oct 11 SUU Sat Oct 13 Northern Arizona Fri Oct 19 @ Montana Sat Oct 20 @ Montana State Thurs Oct 25 Idaho State Sat Oct 27 Weber State Thurs Nov 1 @ Sacramento State Sat Nov 10 Eastern Washington Thurs Nov 15 @ Northern Arizona Sat Nov 18 @ SUU Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted June 19, 2012 Author Posted June 19, 2012 USD put out their schedule a little while ago and they have the same dates down for the UND invite. I am leaning towards to the mix up between UND and NDSU. CSU, who is also in the tourney in UNC, will have their schedule out this week. Perhaps this will clear things up a little. North Dakota Invitational: UW Green Bay, USD, SFA Fri Aug 31: South Dakota Sat Sept 1: Green Bay Sat Sept 1: SFA ? Sat Sept 1 Oklahoma & Air Force @ UNC Classic Thurs Sept 13 Montana State Sat Sept 15 Montana Thurs Sept 20 @ Weber State Sat Sept 22 @ Idaho State Sat Sept 29 Sacramento State Thurs Oct 4 @ Eastern Washington Thurs Oct 11 SUU Sat Oct 13 Northern Arizona Fri Oct 19 @ Montana Sat Oct 20 @ Montana State Thurs Oct 25 Idaho State Sat Oct 27 Weber State Thurs Nov 1 @ Sacramento State Sat Nov 10 Eastern Washington Thurs Nov 15 @ Northern Arizona Sat Nov 18 @ SUU Quote
southpaw Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Word from the Air Force athletic dept is that it is UND. Quote
sultan Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 The Red River volleyball player who signed with NDSU this week said her final choices were NDSU, SDSU, and Duluth. Did UND recruit her? What was the story there? Quote
coach daddy Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 As of last winter, the rumor was UND didn't think she was big enough to play for them. Not sure if that's true or not but it was a real strong rumor all school year. She is as good an athlete as this city has producted in quite a while. I'm suprised if the UND staff passed on her for that reason. Quote
dmksioux Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Word from the Air Force athletic dept is that it is UND. According to this release from NDSU, it appears that it's the Bison that will be at the Air Force tournament. http://www.gobison.com//pdf8/848599.pdf Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted June 22, 2012 Author Posted June 22, 2012 With that NDSU schedule, I think I'll remove the UNC tourney off the schedule. More importantly however..... North Dakota Invitational: UW Green Bay, USD, SFA Fri Aug 31: South Dakota Sat Sept 1: Green Bay Sat Sept 1: SFA Thurs Sept 13 Montana State Sat Sept 15 Montana Thurs Sept 20 @ Weber State Sat Sept 22 @ Idaho State Sat Sept 29 Sacramento State Thurs Oct 4 @ Eastern Washington Tues Oct 9 @ NDSU Thurs Oct 11 SUU Sat Oct 13 Northern Arizona Fri Oct 19 @ Montana Sat Oct 20 @ Montana State Thurs Oct 25 Idaho State Sat Oct 27 Weber State Thurs Nov 1 @ Sacramento State Sat Nov 10 Eastern Washington Thurs Nov 15 @ Northern Arizona Sat Nov 18 @ SUU Schedule keeps looking better and better! Still missing UNC and Portland State off the conference schedule Quote
Feff Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 I've gotta I'm equally, if not more, excited for the volleyball season as I am for football. I've always been a football first guy, but have fallen in love with the volleyball team through the transition! Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted June 25, 2012 Author Posted June 25, 2012 Not only was the MidCo deal exciting, looking at the TV schedule we can add two games that will finish our Big Sky home schedule. SWSiouxMN Posted June 29, 2012 Author Posted June 29, 2012 Do you think there are some non-conference games between Sept. 1 and Sept. 13? Would be great to get some high RPI teams on the schedule. I would think there would be a game or two inbetween those two dates. Perhaps a tournament somewhere. Last year, they had 29 regular season games in the Great West. Now with 20 Big Sky conference games this year, and the 4 non-conference games already in, there would more than likely be 3-6 more games left. Quote

Dagger Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 I think Volleyball is the real sleeper sport at UND. It seems to be a sport that is really on the rise. It has real potential for attendance growth. Hopefully UND continues to get better. Quote
WeAreNorthDakota Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Totally agree. And it appears that coach Hardee has the team ready to compete right away in the Big Sky. I would not be the least bit surprised to see the volleyball team have the highest finish of all of the new Big Sky sports this year. Quote
