geaux_sioux Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 It's tourney time so it's time for predictions. What are everyone's frozen four picks? Quote
Hayduke Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 UND, BC, Michigan, Miami... BC/Miami in championship. Miami winning. Quote
sioux rube Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 UND, BC, Michigan, Miami... BC/Miami in championship. Miami winning. I got BC/Michigan with BC winning. They are so deep. Quote
Wilbur Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 I'll go with.... BC, Miami, Michigan, Minnesota. (Because I'm always wrong). Quote
UND1983 Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 http://www.mlive.com/broncos/index.ssf/2012/03/wmu_hockey_captain_ian_slater_1.html These guys are pretty cocky for having never won a damn thing in their programs history. Quote
Big A HG Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 http://www.mlive.com...n_slater_1.html These guys are pretty cocky for having never won a damn thing in their programs history. I didn't notice anything "cocky", in my opinion. What do you want them to say? Quote
UND1983 Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 "when we play our game we strongly believe NOBODY can compete with us" (coming from the 4 seed in a 4 team bracket). Really? Nobody can compete with Western Michigan hockey when they are playing good? I guess I find that cocky and preposterous but whatever. Quote

Obviously any team can compete with anyone on any given night, but I would hope my team has confidence in itself. The only thing that I would consider a stretch is about the amount of fans that will supposedly take over Xcel Energy Center from Kalamazoo. Quote
Hayduke Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 I didn't notice anything "cocky", in my opinion. What do you want them to say? They didn't sound cocky me either. Confident in their ability to win. Hopefully, they don't, but hey, that is the attitude to have. Quote
108498 Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Boss Minn miama mich. Anyone can win from here on out after last years result. Quote
brianvf Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 The only thing that I would consider a stretch is about the amount of fans that will supposedly take over Xcel Energy Center from Kalamazoo. No doubt. I would guess that there will be less than 500 actual WMU fans in attendance. Sure, the Gopher fans will cheer for WMU, but the article makes it sound like thousands of fans will be there from Kalamazoo. Quote

Sure, the Gopher fans will cheer for WMU, but the article makes it sound like thousands of fans will be there from Kalamazoo. Unless it's a Minnesota-North Dakota regional final, I don't think any game will exceed 10,000. 12,000 max if those two aren't playing each other. Quote
GFG Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 UMN-BC, Michigan-Miami. UMN-Michigan UMN (Biased picks are the best!) Quote
GeauxSioux Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 North Dakota over BC Denver over Miami UND beats Denver for NC Quote
Big A HG Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 My Frozen Four is a bit out there. It's just how it worked out. Deciding if I should revise or not... Quote
siouxfan17 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 North Dakota, Boston College, Michigan, Miami.........I just have this funny feeling about UND this year, I know it's so unlikely but I just have some gut feeling. Who knows, anything can happen if the boys keep playing the way they are and now they really believe in their team after the Gopher comeback. Quote
Siouxtimestwo Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 BC, Minnesota, Miami, and Denver. Minnesota is gonna be more motivated than ever and no team rides late season momentum straight into the ground like the Sioux. Hope I'm wrong, but I've been hoping ever since I enrolled 12 years ago. At least they won't have to worry about not being in the Frozen Four program. Quote

They get down by a couple saturday and you will see the white towel waving. Quote

You can never put too little stock in the weak psyche of Lucia coached teams. They just don't get it done unless they have those ridiculously talented rosters of years past to overcome their lack of heart. 1 Quote
Siouxtimestwo Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Wow, I thought I milked it with 5 years. That's a +1. Speaking of prolonged lengths of time, it's been so long since I've posted here that my previous post was accompanied by a Karl Goehring avatar. I guess I should drop in more often. Quote

They should've and I'm guessing they were, which is why they were dominating us for most of the game. They took the foot off the gas too early and UND found that magical switch they seem to possess. I'm guessing Minnesota won't be taking any lead for granted if UND plays them again. If UND jumps to a lead, I doubt the Gophers will quit. They have recent, firsthand evidence that no lead is safe until the final horn sounds. Quote
GoalieMask Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 BC, Minnesota, Denver, Michigan State I always blow this but last year I had NoDak, CC, Duluth, and Notre Dame so that wasn't too shabby. Quote
