Ok first off let’s not start sounding like goofer fans and calling for our coach to be fired because we lost again in the NCAA tourney. I agree this is starting to become an ugly habit, but hak has taken us to the NCAA tourney every year he’s been here and we have never had a losing season. They guy is an awesome coach and were lucky to have him. What boggles my mind is how the players allow this to happen every year. With the exception of Chay Genways senior year, we always play terrible in the NCAA tourney. I'm so sick of hearing them talk about playing a 60 minute game all year. They have not played a 60 minute game once this year. Yale deserved the win; they outplayed us the last 2 periods. Props to Saunders for a heck of a game and keeping us in it. It’s frustrating to see the season end like this again, and I’m just as sick of it as everyone. I do agree about Berry, what has he done all year to make this team better? I think it was a mistake getting rid of Eades. I do want give a sincere thanks though to all the seniors this year, it has been a pleasure watching you play for 4 years and you will be truly missed. Best of luck to you all in the future!

congrats on a great season to the sioux! not how anyone wanted it to end, but thats why they play the game, some you win and some you lose. Hakstol and his coaching staff did an unbelievable job coaching this team, to come from a terrible start to making it this far in the NCAA tourny is extremely commendable. I am looking forward to watching the guys play next year and I am hoping none of the underclassman decide to leave. Thank you again to the Seniors and good luck to them in the future!!

North Dakota, Boston College, Michigan, Miami.........I just have this funny feeling about UND this year, I know it's so unlikely but I just have some gut feeling. Who knows, anything can happen if the boys keep playing the way they are and now they really believe in their team after the Gopher comeback.

Let me start by saying that I am the biggest supporter of the Sioux nickname and logo, and I was all for the state law that was introduced and passed last summer making the nickname and logo a North Dakota law. The problem is that the NCAA will not budge on the issue and the time has come to move on from this issue. Not just because of the damage this will do to the university’s athletic programs but because the damage this controversy will have on the UND student body and UND itself. Forcing UND to keep a nickname that will prevent UND football from joining the Big Sky Conference, and prevents the school from hosting home NCAA playoff games is a very damaging consequence. Teams like Minnesota and Wisconsin will be unable to schedule UND in hockey after next season when they go to the Big Ten Hockey Conference. Think about the effects this will have economically for UND and Grand Forks. This conflict has been going on for long enough; it is time for it to be over. The bottom line is it’s just a nickname and what is important is what is behind this nickname. UND has proudly represented the Fighting Sioux nickname and logo and the Sioux people for many years. The bottom line is this is about UND not anyone else or what they want. This has been blown up to be something that is entirely damaging to the university and no longer has UND’s best interests at heart. From a huge Sioux fan, please do the right thing if this goes to a state vote and please vote to get rid of the nickname. The future of UND and its athletics are depending on the right decision. This is not about what we want; this is about what is right for the University of North Dakota. Whether you love UND or even if you do not like UND, please remember this decision could potentially cause very serious damage to UND. To all those who signed that petition to put the nickname vote on the state ballot, I do hope you realize what it is you signed and that you know all the facts. The fact is the nickname HAS TO GO, it is the only reasonable decision. The NCAA is not bound by North Dakota State Law. I will take a quote from UND Hockey Coach Dave Hakstol, “Simply put, it will possibly diminish our hockey program slowly over time. In my opinion, it would be extremely damaging to all of our other sports on campus in the near future.” This is coming from a person who is probably the biggest supporter of the Sioux nickname and logo. It is time to be smart about this, and make the right decision.

Ok everyone, I am a huge Sioux fan, I bleed Sioux hockey. I have to make one comment that is truly frusterating me this year. Danny Kristo rarely seems to pass the puck, especially on the power play. I realize that Kristo is an outstanding player, but come on pass the puck. How many times this year has he shot the puck into a defending player creating an odd man rush the other way, or causing us to not hold the zone on the power play. I mean the other team knows he is always going to shoot. He always takes a shot even when he should not. It's common sense if there is no shot, pass the puck don't just shoot the puck into the defending player. Any comments? Maybe I am being to critical, just an opinion...

I completely agree on this, when we went to the Final Five last year, we had two UMD fans try to start a fight with us after the Sioux beat em out in the Quarterfinal. Unprovoked they were just a bunch of idiots. Now you have this drunken UMD moron on KFAN making inappropriate comments on Kristo's injury. I agree that these UMD fans are almost as big of idiots as the goofer fans. I hope they are packing their bags early!!
