Conference Realignments - Take 2

Well, it looks like the go to like WDAY, Dom, Jeff and Herder have all been replaced by TBM (The Big Mountain).  Was it really an upgrade?

I saw this on the CSNBBS board.... With college sports in chaos, 2 key meetings this week could chart a path forward: 'Something's going to have to give'

Interesting to say the least.  Really smacks of anti-trust laws.

Whatever you think of his comments, the current trajectory of intercollegiate athletics is unsustainable in the long run. My concern is focused on how the fallout will impact UND.

Are they saying in order to make the cut for the next level NIL is $8 M annually?  Wasn't NDSU saying $2 M to $3 M annaully for NIL?  Seems to be a gap in expectations.

In case you didn't notice, Miami was much better this year and I think they'll be even better in the next couple of years.

abandoned?  what's stopping und from abandoning the NCHC idea and going regional?  bussing to bemidji, duluth, mankato, st cloud, augie, omaha and st thomas?  getting rid of the chefs at REA...?  reduce the stick budget from 1 milly to 10k..... hiring tony bina to be head coach for 100k and some busch light?  we would win the league every year and make the national tournament every year?

move the saved money to bball and football....

Even a blind squirrel can see if there’s more upside with football and basketball as far as revenue I would say hockey is tapped out

UND's success is built around hockey first and foremost so it's not going to change.   Frankly there simply isn't enough money to pump up all 3 sports and that's the reality of the situation.
