SiouxScore
This could be the first of some very good 98's. We do already have a few pretty solid 98's in Mattson, Senden, and Kiersted but Gerlach is a solid addition to them.
The Sicatoka
Gerlach is a 98. With Rowe bailing out Gerlach can't be the replacement. I think we'll be hearing a name for this fall at forward.

InHeavenThereIsNoBeer
Here is that youtube clip from when he was 9 years old... I don't know much about the kid, but he has some growing to do. CH has him at 5'6" Though Rocco did OK.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pn9BT7pkQR8 At least we have a shootout guy!

siouxnami
So what are the odds at landing each of these guys: Fabbro, Jost, Boeser, Tkachuk and Matthews Fabbro, 25%, Wisconsin or CHL Jost, 25%, Wisconsin or CHL Boeser, 45%, Minnesota Tkachuk 5% Not sure he is interested in UND Matthews, 25% East Coast Schools, CHL My guesses. These are all huge names and we won't get them all.

SiouxScore
So what are the odds at landing each of these guys: Fabbro, Jost, Boeser, Tkachuk and Matthews My guesses and I would be more than happy to be wrong on most of them: Fabbro: 30% UND or CHL Jost: 30% UND or CHL Boeser: 15% Minnesota Thought he was Minnesota bound since he decommitted and have heard it from more and more people. Matthews: 25% UND, BC, BU, or CHL Another big potential recruit Grant Mismash: 50% UND or Minnesota

cberkas
Do you know something we don't? Who else you thinking? I listed a few I'd like to see come to UND in Prospective Recruits tread. One committed Max Gerlach Tyson Jost Dante Fabbro Collin Adams Taylor Ward Chad Krys Brandon Biro Max Jones Jones is a long shot Ward is a Sioux I think Jost and Fabbro will commit next Biro plays on the same line as Simpson in Spruce Grove. SiouxScore
... and of course any prospective recruits on the U.S. Developmental team get to witness the worst of North Dakota winter! Wind chills in the 30-40 below range. Looking at their roster it looks like there are 4 guys who are uncommitted forwards Matthew Tkachuck and Auston Matthews and defensemen Caleb Jones and Steven Ruggiero. I would expect at least a couple of those guys to end up in the CHL I hope Matthews is able to make it back and can at least see the facilities even if he doesn't play tonight. sioux24/7
Cakebread seems like one who may not end up on campus. Hasn't really been able to figure out the USHL yet but still only 17.

Sioux17
what are our scenarios for players coming in next year.
jjensen
Best guess if no one leaves early: Forwards (graduate 5) Chris Wilkie Rhett Gardner Shane Gersich Zach Yon (If no other commits) Someone yet to be named (Matthews, Boeser, or Simpson) Defenseman (graduate 2) Danys Chartrand Wolanin or Lagesson if he commits here If someone leaves early: Wolanin (if Lagesson commits) Shaw Evers
siouxczech29
what are our scenarios for players coming in next year. They'll probably bring in Chartrand, Wolanin and Shaw on defense. This will fill the loss of Mattson, Panzarella, and Schmaltz. (LaDue another flight risk where Evers or Peski are available) I hope Caggiula stays and they add another two forwards for next year's class and bring in Gersich, Wilkie, and Gardner. The others seem to need further development.
siouxnami
Interesting side note on Gerlach, he is a RW. Before his commitment the Sioux have 5 LW commits but only 1 RW (Wilke). I also noticed that Wilke is number 2 in the USHL in SOG with 2 less games played. The Jason Blake is strong in this one...
siouxnami
Hard to read too much into Yon and Cakebread, Fargo is the lowest scoring team in the USHL and Cakebread has been hurt. Looks like Yon needs to pick it up a bit. I believe he's 19. Not sure on cakebread either, those numbers are as bad as you get. Surprised he hasn't been shipped off to the NA yet. It may help his development.
