Flyers are like lottery tickets, except none of them get you to retirement and you still end up losing more than winning. Fun to dabble in, but shouldn't be your main form of recruiting. Quote

Was already starting to pop at u16. Smith is an NHL 4th longer…and that awesome! But you can’t have a full team of Cole smiths. This could be a nice commitment…I haven’t seen the kid play. I have seen spehars kid play a ton so it’s a bit shocking to see this kid behind spehar’s in pts. Nothing against spehar either, he’s really good. He’s just an underager playing up and I never really saw him as a top flight 09. Just a really good one. To be honest, the best player on that team is Jimmy Egan…looks like he chose CC. Quote

I’m not one of the Eeyore types on this board, but this sounds like an underwhelming recruit. Especially with all of the opportunities with the CHL now but for all we know, Berry and company are about to land a big one Quote

Not a 5 star…but the coaches definitely watch all these kids. Maybe he’s a later bloomer that starting to put it together like Pinto was. Again, no idea. 1 Quote
brianvf Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Article on the Jundt commitment: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/west-fargo-forward-keaton-jundt-commits-to-und-hockey Quote Jundt also spoke to St. Cloud State, New Hampshire, Maine, St. Lawrence and Michigan Tech, but he didn't make any other visits. "As a kid, I'd always go to (UND) games with my buddies or my family," Jundt said. "Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to play there some day." Quote "He's got great skill, but his compete level is off the charts," Sioux Falls Power coach Noelle Needham said. "He's great in the locker room. He has a great sense of humor. His compete level, his ability to score goals at important times and work through things to make something happen, is his M.O., I think." Jundt is a versatile forward who can play anywhere in a top nine, Needham said. Quote
tnt Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Are all scholarships full scholarships now? Do we know if he is the equivalent recruit of a Montgomery? Think we actually need some more grit guys like Cole Smith. Quote

tnt Posted January 4 Posted January 4 We do have the top forward and defenseman leading the USHL in points per game, so there is that. Add a Will Zellers and Sam Laurila to the likes of Boisvert, Perron, Swanson and Livanavage, and you’ve got a nice group of skilled guys. 3 Quote
