Hopefully Berry learned his lesson on the Shattuck guys with Scott Morrow. If he's ready, bring him in. That was obviously a misjudgment, but as we have seen, bringing guys early can hurt their development as well. But the bottom line is where you are drafted doesn’t mean you should or shouldn’t come to campus. We all saw Brent Johnson, a third round pick wasn’t ready. We also have seen a guy in Michael Emerson, who put up big numbers in the USHL not even put a shot on goal with limited action, and leave this week. I happen to really appreciate guys like Andrew Strathmann, who does the right thing for their own development. If you make it a race to get to the next level and not do the right thing, it might end up slowing or ruining your development completely. Wonder where Tyson Jost would be with a little more patience. Quote

Taking more of a slower development path. It’s worked for him so far. He’s an April birthday so a bit young for a senior. No issues with that tbh 4 Quote

Morrow's "issue" wasn't his play. Quote

Rizzo, he's the one who bailed! Such a weird situation. Halliday's situation was weird, too. He was recruited as a true blue chippa, fell off the face of the earth during junior, and then became a very good hockey player at OSU. Quote

I believe he lead the ushl in pts his last year. Quote

Not gonna score a lot, but he'll contribute right away. Swanson is just a water bug. Non-stop motor, always creating. Could have had three or four assists in the game had the receiving end buried the chance. He's small, but so quick and so smart. Boisvert is big, strong, but fast. He was all over the puck in the game and had a couple good chances. Heil looked shaky a couple times, but made a few really big saves. He looked.... uncomposed?... a little bit at times, but he's pretty athletic. Laurila didn't flash a lot, but had a couple nice touches. All-in-all, a great showing from our future boys, IMO. 3 2 Quote

He should be able to play another USHL year, I believe. He's 19 now and would be 20 at the start of next USHL season. Quote
