Saw the boom is officially over (probably been for awhile).

The area is now classified as " Mature" by the oil companies.

The geeenies are trying to kill it.  Most development will be with cashflow.  Investors will be smiling.  NGL will be expanding going forward.

Better plays out there to invest in so that’s where the money is going….. Permian in TX and NM. Most companies won’t waste their money in ND, WY, CO plays…

The core of the Bakken has already been drilled. A steady mature play sounds great to me, leave the booms in the past. Natural gas capture will now be the focus because of the ESG initiatives. This country could use more natural gas and liquids so sound like a good goal to me!

I am sure the population of Williston raises and falls heavily based on long-term oil demand, but an interesting tidbit from the Census this morning.

Also, Grand Forks county lost somewhere between 0.5% to no change in

Yes April 2020 oil turned negative.  The virus shutdown anything new in the oilfield.  Today in 2020 that has all regained.  Still many positions to fill. This is before $100 oil.

There is no reason to be flaring off this gas except a delivery method to use it.

how many public buildings, schools, government building, hospitals, nursing homes, vehicles could be heated or ran by using this gas?

maybe before fighting pipelines the green people should allow pipelines so we can use this gas.

no reason a courthouse in the middle of North Dakota can’t be heated by this gas for little cost to them.

im no energy expert but drive by a flared well and smell that gas if the flare is out

And the cost of the delivery method.  Not cheap.  The gas pipeline from the west to GF and Fargo will in addition the the proposed GTL plant will help much of the flaring.

Pipelines are expensive. Some of the remote well sites do not make piping the gas very cost effective. If they made money capturing the gas then they would be doing it already.

The Kinder Morgan Double H pipeline is now planning to convert to NGL service and end its crude service. Unreal to see oil lines shutting down when a decade ago they couldn’t put lines in fast enough. Looks like Dakota Access is going to have a big monopoly on oil transport out of ND.
