I feel for Kennedy. He drew a bad hand by coming in and immediately facing huge budget cuts. His removal of buildings that we have no use for, and no money to maintain, should be commended rather than admonished.

What does Pearson offer that UND can't do itself? How many more online students is this deal going to get UND? Is this worth giving Pearson over 50% of revenues? What expenses does Pearson have to pay that benefit UND? Does anybody have experience with how exactly Pearson operates in regard to a deal like this? Are current programs that are offered online affected by this deal or only new ones? I understand the argument, just don't think it is the optimal setup. It's hard to ruffle the feathers of dedicated fans. One other benefit, though, is that the students who stand in the upper deck would no longer be blocking the view of the people sitting in the section over. Even IF the students stood in the lower bowl on the end, the seats are angled in a way that people in the next section over would not have their view obstructed.

Better atmosphere sells. And this would open up prime lower bowl seats on the red line, which are worth more money than end seating.

You could use logic. Football raised over 20 million for the High Performance Center, which benefits multiple sports on campus. There are also required champions club donations for season tickets. You are being biased by ignoring donations. Logic - What fan base will donate more money, a team with an average attendance of 10,000 or 500?

I agree, but when I was a student, it was a pain in the ass to be separated from friends by being in lower or upper bowel. I think it suppresses attendance, and the lines are unnecessary. I say 103, 104, 105, 106. The students all on one level would create a better environment, and eliminate the need for ridiculous lines to sit lower bowl. If they don't change the sections, they should at least go back to separate tickets for lower and upper bowl. This would take away two lower bowl sections, but seats would be opened up on the red line in both the lower and upper bowl. These are great seats.

There isn't a coach in the nation that isn't trying to build depth at every position. The problem is Bubba has to recruit players to the locker rooms at Memorial Stadium, and there are more attractive schools to football recruits in the region. It's not that easy, especially when guys like Elijah, Harris, and Kuksa leave or get hurt. I think the constant bashing of UND-FB-FAN is counterproductive - the criticisms of him are more annoying than his negativity, imo, despite the popularity of the posts that bash him. This website would be boring without differing views - that's what makes a good conversation. Do we want this place to be an echo chamber? It's not like he's presenting opinion as fact, or throwing out crazy conspiracy theories while bashing all those who disagree with him like some other members on this website.

This is why you get so much grief. HE DID NOT SAY THAT!!!! He did not say the conversation was "NEEDED". In response to a question about going D1, he said that its a great conversation to have with everybody. Huge difference. Stop putting words in peoples mouth and bending the truth.
