  1. Great find. Thank you. Surprised SDSU isn't higher.
  2. This is very true. We would also get shafted with our hockey games and everything would be on Big10 to go or whatever backwater channel they air their hockey games on. The midco deal is worth way more in exposure to casual ND fans than a Big Ten tv schedule would have get us in dollars. IMO, part of the reason for the huge drop off in gopher support is the inconsistency in the tv schedule. It used to be on FSN every night, including most away games, now they play on like 6 different channels throughout the year, if they are on TV at all. It's too difficult for the casual fan to follow, and I think we would see interest in UND hockey drop, because locals would not be exposed to it as easily. With the addition of Notre Dame, and the serious potential for a Big Ten school to add the sport, I don't see how there could possibly still be an offer on the table for UND, if there ever was one, or the potential for one. They need to keep that last spot open for a Big Ten school.
  3. Anyone agree that the accounting for non sporting events at the Ralph is almost non existent? I dont remember seing numbers clearly stated in the 990 that show revenues and expenses for concerts and other events. Or total concessions revenue.
  4. UND's football budget is multiple times higher than what it's total ticket sales are. Just saying.
  5. Does the Alerus or Ralph receive the most football revenue?
  6. Pretty sure everyone else grew.
  7. Doubt it, but hopefully it get's funneled back into the Betty. They need bigger risers and money can always go into players and coaching areas.
  8. There is zero proof that he threatened a lawsuit. Kennedy saying that the REA is straying from it's mission is an implication, at best. The emails were released after Kris said this, and it's not the only thing that she was caught lying about. Her word is worth nothing after her lies about scheduling a meeting were revealed.
  9. Anything better than the current deal is a win.
  10. If Mankato moved to the NCHC, how would that impact Bemidji and the WCHA? For whatever reason, I'm fearful for Bemidji. Is Bemidji's program sustainable if Mankato were to leave the WCHA or if there was a WCHA shakeup?
  11. Good to hear. Sure took a while.
  12. Both. Guessing there are a lot of retirees there, but more of a destination do to the weather. Who wouldn't want to fly down there during the winter? Denver has a huge alumni base, but flights are also incredibly cheap and I would think that a lot of people from the twin cities travel there for games as well.
  13. After visiting Scottsdale for the first time about a month ago, I'm all for ASU to the NCHC. Will be a huge fan destination, similar to Denver.
  14. Did this ever get built? http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/bronx/developer-signs-lease-kingsbridge-armory-article-1.1977160
  15. Awesome. He was sure fun to watch.
  16. Why would anyone do that? Not seeing your point... People want him to stay so that they can watch him. He apparently had his hand held by the staff, and now that he's in a position to leave, he turns his back on them. That seems to be the issue.
  17. Isn't that Kennedy's decision? I don't think he will fly to where I am to discuss it.
  18. I'm split. That money will sure help us out a ton right now, but I can't help but think that this is short sighted. And the orange matching the track looks terrible. Match the school colors - the place looks unfinished.
  19. This sounds more and more like an employer - employee relationship.
  20. If he didn't start taking college classes he can come ten years from now if he wants. He will be to old to play in any league that allows to maintain eligibility, though, right?
  21. I also like the brighter green. They seem to be moving away from the darker green in everything. It's the same color as the football helmets.
  22. I like that the new floor isn't so yellow. Maybe that happens over time? Regardless, it looks pretty good IMO, even though I support the hawk in the center. The shaded area inside the three point line are a nice touch. As to negotiations, I think it was easy for Kennedy to concede, it was a gesture of good will, and his real priority is in negotiating the new contract. No need to push too hard on this while the contract is still in play. Especially since they clearly already had the stencils, and the contractors were just waiting for the OK to start.
  23. I think they used part of the footprint of the old arena. It was a major renovation, like the NDSU arena..
  24. Big Sky, but whatever... Portland State's new arena is done
