I know Hak wants more than one scoring line, but why has he never gone back to the Caggiula/MaMillian/Parks line that was crazy successful early in the year?

Still good to pull out the win with our best player (I think so) having a poor game. Really need to cut down on those turnovers though.

Seems like the coaching staff likes Heidelbaugh as a QB recruit if they are passing up others.

My guess is there was an expectation of a bigger school and FCS or lower-mid FBS was never considered. In fact, I'd probably venture that FCS still isn't considered as a "real offer."

Women's hockey wouldn't be as much of a budget drain if people actually got off their butts and went out to support it. Realistically, fan support for all sports not hockey is lower than it should be with the possible exception of volleyball. Increase fan attendance to other sports and you'll see revenue increases that will help pay for the stipends and such. However, is it likely that people are going to suddenly get up and go out to more games? Not likely. The one hope is that football becomes competitive and can start filling the Alerus again, that should bring some needed money back into the university to help offset other costs.

My guess is that if he's always there, the coaches want him there. Don't know why seeing as how it has not worked in three straight games...

Ausmus/Stetcher was our best defensive pair before Stetcher was injured but I find myself also liking this Ausmus/Panz pair. Not as offensively capable but they definitely clear out the front of the net.

I'd rather have a player be a goon straight up and willing to engage in fisticuffs than someone that takes cheap slashes at somebodies knees.

If OD is better on a lower line, should Hak keep Poolman at forward and on that top line and keep OD down on 3rd/4th line? That way we can get Panz more ice time and then Stecher slides right back in when he's healthy.

That third line (except Pattyn) is just wasted potential. I'd rather see the fourth line have more ice time than the third...

To be honest, this game could easily have gone UND's way with the bounce of a puck or two. Remember all the chances that UND had that just barely missed. Had any of those gone in, UND carries more momentum and possibly isn't as sluggish in the 2nd/3rd. UND plays better tonight and gets the split. Murphy doesn't see ice time the rest of the year (unless devastated by injuries).
