So they are ranked high because they beat other teams that were ranked, but no longer are (other than Auburn) because those teams have lost multiple times. Why were those teams ranked high at the time the game was played? A&M has completely collapsed, LSU is no powerhouse. Auburn is good and they are a quality win but other top 10 teams also have quality wins. Look at TCU, their only lose is to #7 Baylor. Why should TCU be ranked lower than Miss St? TCU has wins against 3 top 25 teams (as of the latest ranking), and a loss to a top 10 team. SEC bias, that's why.

So you saw Wisconsin lose their top two noseguards and suddenly start bleeding profusely in the running game.

Wisconsin was dominating LSU until they lost their top RB (who happens to be one of the best in the country). LSU then mounts a comeback as the Wisconsin offense stalls. Of course that translates to LSU being so much better and able to dominate the rest of the Big 10 and any other conference (just inferring the typical SEC fan response).

National Championships are a joke in FBS football. The teams that play in the game are based on ranking. SEC teams drop the least when losing to in-conference opponents. The teams then wait over a month to play. Of course that means whoever wins that game must belong to the best conference ever.

Mississippi St. currently ranked 4th. What exactly about their schedule makes them a top 4 team over the likes of TCU, Baylor, or Ohio State? Their out-of-conference schedule is a joke and looking at their schedule they have two teams in the current top 25 they've played. Beat one, lost to another. Why are they ranked 4th?

I'm only a hater because they are given an inordinate amount of attention. That inordinate amount of attention is a result of a major contract between the SEC and ESPN. Year in and year out Notre Dame seems to get ranked pretty highly midway through the season, then they tank and so does their ranking. Why do they get ranked high to begin with? Media exposure. Same thing, just on a conference level with the SEC.

What are the signature OOC wins for the SEC this year? The media (ESPN) just tells us that the SEC is the end-all be-all of college football and everyone goes along with it.

It's fun to see everyone completely brainwashed by the SEC media team. They really have done their job well.

What exactly makes SEC the gauntlet though? They schedule a few decent OOC games a year and then feast on lower level D1 or FCS teams to pad the OOC schedule. Then they routinely get ranked high up in the top 25. Of course all of this nonsense could be solved with a real 16 team playoff. Then the cream would rise to the top. A four team playoff is a start but still a joke as it's subject to the whims of pollsters.

SEC has a contract with ESPN, and so the SEC is given the majority of media attention due to the fact that ESPN is the biggest and one of the only major media sources for sports. Therefore the SEC will always be given the benefit of the doubt. Big 12 schools beat up on each other, they are an inferior conference. Pac 12 beats up on each other, also inferior. Big 10 hasn't done much in recent years ACC one horse conference SEC beats up on each other, omg such tough schedule, they are just so good, oooohhhh.
  11. When you have a defensive pair like Ladue and Schmaltz it is hard for any other pair to top that but last night Ausmus and Stetcher definitely were the best D pair on the ice.
  12. That's exactly what the offense needs, short fields and early opportunities set up by the defense.

Minnesota has a pretty solid running back. Would love for one like that at UND. Lovely day for football in the cities though, temperature isn't all that bad and some flurries.
  14. To say this team is underperforming right now is an understatement.
  15. Total snipe by Stecher, great shot.
  16. I think they are also really wanting to see a fight, haha
  17. UND needs to recruit an offensive line that can establish a dominating run game which forces teams to bring 8 people into the box to free up our receivers. Problem solved I'd much rather dominated in the trenches than have the stud WR. Establish a running game and you can have an effective passing game with receivers like Seibel.
  18. Nice call on 4th down there, good throw by Studsrud. Need more drives like that. Looked like the line was actually opening some holes.
  19. Gotta intercept one of these passes, might be the only way to both get back into the game and slow down a passing game that seems to be picking us apart right now.
  20. Well at least we won't be shut out, needed a TD there though.
  21. Begs the question as we are getting our butts whipped by winless Weber, is UND the worst team in the big sky at the moment?
  22. This offense is unwatchable. Then you flip the field and see the throws the opposing quarterback is making and wonder why we can't have that.
  23. Something has to be done to open up the passing game. Right now Weber has no respect for our passing game on anything other than 3rd and long.
  24. No.
  25. Offense needs to cut out the penalties to give themselves a shot. Anything over 1st and 10 is a drive killer.
