  1. Great in practice(from what we've heard), can't finish in games. The bright lights of The Ralph/UND hockey may have affected him so I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see him put up points at CC.
  2. Good options as well, however I'm a degenerate gambler and need a poker table stumbling distance away from the elevator
  3. Imperial Palace is now the Linq, which is a decent budget option for hotel. As far as staying close to The Orleans it's really not necessary as Lyft and Uber are cheap and fast to anywhere in Vegas. The Orleans is removed from the craziness of the strip and is an older hotel/casino. If you want to be in the middle of everything stay on the strip as close to The Bellagio as you can. Planet Hollywood, Paris, Harrah's are all decent mid-level hotels with PH being my choice. Venetian, Caesars Palace, Aria for higher end. Wynn, Encore, Cosmo, Bellagio for ultra high end.
  4. For those keeping score at home he also didn't bring up hybrid cars, the Iraq war, or Shetland Ponies.
  5. Trust me when I say the new position has no chance of being the replacement for Schloss, it's entry-level. If anything, I'd guess Miller would jump in if Schloss decided to leave. There's an interview where Schloss said he has a great setup at the GF Herald but there'd be a few opportunities he'd be hard pressed to turn down. One of those being covering the Wild for the Star Tribune.
  6. I prefer to pay by wire transfer prior to receiving my tickets. Will that be a problem?
  7. Multiple events, didn't you read his post?
  8. Looks like he was invited to U17 Canadian camp. http://niagaraicedogs.net/article/prospects-moore-and-halliday-invited-to-hockey-canada-u17-development-camp
  9. Looks like it's head is being sucked into a jet engine. And clearly trying to hide his club foot in the shadows. Poor guy...
  10. Relevant to the #bluechippaz discussion
  11. Goon, you should probably disclose that you are endorsed by Red Pepper
  12. Me checking in on what's interesting at SS.com today...
  13. I'd bet dollars to donuts, Stoney knows Schloss much better than you do. This is what it comes down to. Schloss could take essentially any open NHL beat job he wants. His record speaks for itself and losing women's hockey did nothing to his career stability.
  14. Honestly, Penn St has a good following and usually sells out their barn. They'll only be better and more established in 2 years. I know they're not a blue blood but I like the opponent.
  15. The ability to continually argue the points on each side of this debate is almost impressive if it wasn't so damn depressing... yet here we are, 81 pages later
  16. I don't care because they're St Cloud fans and they have bigger things to worry about. For example, losing Coach Thumb Head to the Gophers.
  17. I always think it's funny that UMD fans give us !@#$ about not getting over the Fighting Sioux nickname when their coach has yet to do so... The change still irks tradition-bound fans and alumni like Sandelin, a defenseman from 1983 to 1986. Sandelin found plenty of support in the room. About one-quarter of the approximately 250 attendees wore Fighting Sioux attire, including the three women in the back selling raffle tickets. When Sandelin opened his remarks with, “Always nice to be back among the Fighting Sioux fans,” he received immediate and prolonged applause. “I knew that would get a rise,” he said, smiling. Several minutes later, Sandelin concluded this way: “Once a Sioux, always a Sioux. I can still say that.” https://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/03/sports/hockey/with-sioux-nickname-gone-north-dakota-hockey-fans-are-fighting-change.html
  18. All players on the fence of leaving early should watch this interview with Pogo http://www.wdaz.com/sports/hockey/4436524-former-und-hockey-captain-austin-poganski-reflects-last-month You can tell how tough it is for him to think about not being able to wear the green and white anymore.
  19. Siouxhphan saying what we're all thinking but too scared to say
  20. UMD putting up 9 goals all tourney proved you don't need to score to win a title, but it sure can help! I believe our D is gonna take some pressure of the forwards next year, maybe free them up to put the damn puck in the net! Also, that d sure will come in handy for Thome and Scheel as they get more comfortable.
