  1. Maybe they're donating the profits and recouping UND/REA for the costs of the jerseys? That would make the most sense to me, doesn't mean that's how it's being done though.
  2. It sounds like the hockey team will be wearing a jersey that says 'Sioux' on it. SS meltdown coming in 3.2.1....
  3. Tomek was a highly touted goalie and the highest drafted goalie in UND history who was a massive flop. Therefore, I'm a little hesitant to get super excited until we see him playing well under the bright lights of The Ralph.
  4. I was unaware one could exist in Las Vegas sober?
  5. When would Rowe get to campus? Great get for the staff, although I am pretty gun-shy on goalies after the whole Tomek disaster.
  6. In NYC, they had the football team's playoff game on the screens at the pre-game party. You'd be surprised how into the game the "hockey-only" fans were
  7. I seem to remember Coach Chase not winning coach of the year after Red River went undefeated, am I remembering right?
  8. Gotta pay for season tickets somehow!
  9. Friday - Mismash Saturday - JJ
  10. This is true, I'll post to craigslist and my wife to fb marketplace and she usually has 5 responses before I have 1. I will say though in my experience you get more tire kickers on fb.
  11. Depends what you mean by presence, Bremer has over $10 Billion in assets so by that measure I'm pretty sure they would be by a decent margin.
  12. The only tickets I've ever not been able to sell are to U18 exhibition games.
  13. Can't watch NCHC TV on 2 separate devices at nce as far as I know
  14. Schlossman does it again, putting together stories that other beat writers around the country could only dream about.
  15. Damn, I got my ticket on the blue line for $34. Might as well drive there to take it in if you can for that price.
  16. These football only fans are salty, gotta love someone ripping on the most successful program at their own university.
  17. I got a picture with the bird, we're besties now.
  18. Agreed on all points, I was just refuting the thought that the new scoreboard might be some out of place monstrosity that detracts from the gameday experience. I can't imagine that happening on Jody's watch.
  19. Instant replays will be more clear, crowd pump ups will be more engaging, it will improve the atmosphere for sure. I have no doubt it will be tastefully done while also being a huge upgrade for the arena. One needs to look no further than Jody Hodgson's sparkling resume of managing and upgrading REA to keep it as pristine as the day it was opened.
  20. Definitely, can't tell you how many time I'm in a conversation with someone and I look up and the puck has dropped. Immediately panic and say "well great talking to you...<mumble a joke about hockey being more important than the current conversation and walk away>"
  21. Some pretty cool updates to The Ralph and Betty here...just a few that stuck out to me: Hugo's Wine and Spirits Lounge: The new "Hugo's Wine & Spirits Lounge" behind Section 112 will offer specialty cocktails and mixed drinks on the Main Concourse for the first time. This is a new beverage option for those who seek a cocktail or a mixed drink on the Main Concourse. Patrons must be 21 or older to enter the Hugo's Wine & Spirits Lounge. Game Presentation Features: Enhancements have been made for player introductions and pregame activities, including a new intelligent lighting system that has the ability to strobe and produce color washes. A new system has also been mounted on the glass in each corner of the rink that will shoot CO2 jets 20 feet high whenever UND scores a goal. The Touch Tunes music system, along with new exterior speakers above the student lineup area, will be available on game day to students waiting in line to get into the arena. This service will also be available exclusively for students during the first 30 minutes that they are in the building. The UND students will be able to control the music played externally during the day, and internally during the first 30 minutes that the doors are open via the Touch Tunes system. A new 3-minute warning will be used when there is three minutes remaining in the intermission to let people know that the game is about to resume and encourage them to return to their seats.

  23. Wife is a realtor in GF and said that Sakura is for sale for $2.45MM. Really a shame because that is my favorite sushi restaurant in town.
