  1. I don't see what a spreadsheet has to do with any of this.
  2. I remember when the outdoor game vs UNO was announced I thought it was the coolest idea. Now... I really hope they never schedule another one.
  3. Reasons to have these games in my opinion: - Exposure to other markets including emerging ones(such as Vegas, Nashville, Seattle) as who knows where the next Auston Matthews is coming from? -Recruiting- Players look forward to these experiences and notice them when picking schools. Imagine being a recruit and seeing social media posts and highlights of the crazy party in Vegas? - Alumni support - Bring alumni into the fold that can't make it to The Ralph for home games but will definitely go to a worthwhile destination and as a result spend more $ on tickets, apparel, donations, etc.
  4. Madison Square Garden atmosphere was awesome, maybe not as raucous as Vegas(partly because...well, vegas) but it was great. Play it at the Preds NHL rink with all of the amenities please. It will be a great atmosphere, we proved it in NYC.
  5. Jamba Juice in the vegas airport helps me 100% of the time after vegas trips. They could charge $30 for the shake and I wouldn't even blink.
  6. Next time I will make sure to yell at those fans in Vegas from my couch in Grand Forks...really great advice. Your opinion on what our fanbase is or isn't holds zero weight with anyone here. I promise you no one will change anything they do by you posting on here, especially any idiots that may or may not have done the things you said. Next time try a soft opening, for example a classic 'Hi' rather than WHY CAN'T YOU BE LIKE VEGAS FANS?? Alas, you've gotten the attention I imagined you desired so I'm signing off on this convo.
  7. It's crazy that this user is a real person that thought to themselves 'I know what I'll do today, I'm going to go on a rival message board for the 1st time and start by chastising their fanbase'. THEN let's act indignant and shocked when I don't get a good reaction.' Why do Minnesota sports fans have such a proclivity to deflect to this kind of crap every time their team chokes?
  8. I don't think he will ever play one either.
  9. School was important to Jost and his mom too... just sayin
  10. IMO Underrated play of the game was Kawaguchi's pass to Poolman to set up the GWG, talk about vision
  11. Talk about some blue blood hockey schools that team is stacked with
  12. Hockey in general is a regional sport, I don't get the surprise that a game that is played on frozen water is less popular that one that can be played anywhere in the world at any time with just a football. Anyone can step outside and play catch with a football, but you can't go outside and have a skate or shoot on a net unless you live in northern states and have means to afford expensive skates, sticks, etc. and have outdoor rinks or have access to limited ice time in southern states. I don't see it as a bad thing, it's just different. That being said, does anyone have access to the viewer numbers for the UND v BC game at MSG? I'd be curious to see how it did.
  13. Agreed, I'm not complaining about being able to watch it on Midco but this is a missed opportunity for CBS Sports and college hockey in general to show off an amazing atmosphere by 2 storied rivals. I remember watching the game vs BC at MSG multiple times on replay despite having gone to the game. The production quality and atmosphere came across really well on a national broadcast.
  14. $310, so your original $100 investment and a $210 profit. It opened at +250, crazy for a hockey game and college nonetheless where any team can win any given night.
  15. Awesome story, thanks for sharing!
  16. It's awesome
  17. UND 12 Minnesota 1(but only because it hit off a dmans skate)
  18. As I said, Vegas intoxication can warp the memory and Harrah's and the Linq are not very dissimilar. My point stands that Hash House A Go Go has no association with Imperial Palace. The Engelstad family does not own The Linq. You're choosing a weird hill to die on, need a cookie or something?
  19. As a UND fan, I'm embarrassed that I did not know this.
  20. 1. Ralph built The Linq? That place is nothing close to what Imperial Palace was. A quarter of a billion dollar renovation will do that. The restaurant and Ralph's casino never co-existed. Kinda embarrassed you didn't know that. 2. In Vegas, casinos tend to blend together especially the mid level ones like Harrahs, Paris, NYNY, Linq especially after all day drinking.
  21. Used to be $1 but that ended sometime around end of last year. Used to grab at least 2 every time I walked by.
  22. If by "Vegas" you mean Spearmint and Sapphire, I'm sure he'd be more than capable.
  23. Awesome time, did it for a friend's bachelor party a couple years back. The views are great and we were feeling pretty dang good once we were done!
