  1. Upon Berry being fired and Boisvert, Omac and Perron transferring out I don’t think anyone imagined we’d be 12-4-0 right now. Jax Bryn Simmer and Smaby deserve a ton of credit for what they put together in a short amount of time. I admit I had uncertainty that we may not take a step back short term but I’m not sure anyone can argue it was a good move looking back. I think the coaching staff Jax put together is just as important, if not more so, than the recruits they got. The way this team plays is prototypical Sioux hockey and they’re setting a foundation for this program that’s really exciting.
  2. Jost had a gorgeous deke and goal right in front of where I was sitting
  3. Reminiscent of a goal Caggiula scored… as a senior
  4. Be even funnier when we sweep them tonight
  5. Can’t imagine the cost there if they did so I imagine they’ve changed, R22 is $1200-1500/jug and won’t get cheaper
  6. This line gives me an appreciate for Jax, I love that he doesn't deflect from holding himself accountable for why a player may have underperformed. "Maybe that's on us as a staff that we underutilized him beforehand."
  7. Thats the wild part is that there isn’t a miss or a guy that’s looked lost. Every guy has looked at minimum capable but more often, outstanding, when judging by what we’ve expected freshmen to produce in the past. And we haven’t even hit Christmas break, exciting stuff
  8. At this point, if there's any doubt just keep these guys out for Omaha as well so they're fully healthy starting the 2nd half starting with Mercyhurst at home Jan 2nd.
  9. I think the episodes where the players take the camera for the weekend are the best ones. Watching them set up a screen to play chel in the bus on the drive down to Omaha was pretty awesome.
  10. I'd argue this year's TTD episodes have been the best(in production & content) in quite a few years. Jax seems to be giving them more access than Bubs, which makes a world of difference.
  11. While it’s the outlier there’s still people talking about us playing so poorly against a bad team. BSU isn’t a bad team this year, they got major reinforcements from major juniors thanks to Serratore being one of the first ones on the recruiting trail a year before the ruling was even made.
  12. I’m not sure why everyone assumes BSU is a tournament killer this year just because they may have been previous years. Teams currently that are worse than BSU: Boston U Omaha CC Arizona St Minnesota
  13. Kaminski throwing up on the sideline, yikes
  14. Reschny due for a goal, he looks great right now
  15. Seriously, all those guys that held this team together in time for Chyz and Jax to recruit to where we are today. Those guys should receive a lot of praise for not taking the easy way out like their counterparts OMac, Perron, and Boisvert. Didn't see us having this good of a team the day that Boisvert transferred, that's for sure.
  16. I think a lot of people are assuming this is the same Bemidji State team as year's past. From everything I've seen and read, that's not the case. They have a lot of players from Canadian juniors and can play a pretty wide open style. Rewatched highlights of their Friday night UMD game and they scored the first 2 then let UMD score 6 straight. Key to me is to win the special teams battle as we both struggle on the PK and to take advantage of the odd man rushes they give us. Some of their defensemen are pretty reckless with pinching so we need to put some goals up.
  17. Currently yes, Minnesota #42 Clarkson #50 Bemidji St #26
  18. Bold take, most of like riding that bubble with a chance to end our season early
  19. I know losing to the Beavers always feels that way but currently our loss to the gophers is much more detrimental than a loss to Bemidji would be.
  20. Just tough when you aren’t allowed back in on Saturday
  21. It’s not fair criticism, it’s a knee jerk reaction to an exhibition where the team is testing new line combos/players/PP & PK units. For anyone paying attention it’s not surprising it took a period to settle in before steamrolling them(while rotating goalies). All while trying to escape without injuries so it’s not a normal game. Especially when that hard checking, playing on the edge is the identity of this team
  22. Can’t believe there were a few ledgies that popped their head up in the 1st period of an exhibition game. We sat a ton of guys and yes weren’t super sharp early but chill guys, consider the context
  23. Some guys named like Tiger, Spieth, McIlroy and Dechambeau have used Strokes Gained to inform their training and improve their strategy but I'm sure it's all fluff.
