  1. Buy your flights to Vegas, #9 is a lock
  2. If there's one thing we've learned is the Big10 teams that look unbeatable in December continue that trend through April.
  3. What’s the story on Mckamey? He 2 years away? Surprised to see 3 pts in 15 games
  4. I’ll withhold judgement until we compare end of year numbers
  5. UNH wins in OT, only watched the 3rd but neither team looked all that impressive to me
  6. Tbh they’re going D to D plenty but it’s usually necessary. Icing the puck for a Hail Mary pass puts us in bad position too. The thing that stands out every game I watch this team is poise. The breakout passes and touches are so satisfying to watch this year compared to last years panic chip off the boards or turn over to the other team. They are so confident they’ll even pass to a teammate in front of our own net when they’re pinned in our zone and I have yet to see it blow up in our face yet.
  7. Pretty sure he means over the year. UND SOS is 12th and Denver is 15th. Not sure which of those games each played though. Spoon gets the nod until he actually, ya know, loses a game.
  8. Not sure how when Spoon is undefeated, has a better GAA and SV %
  9. Upon Berry being fired and Boisvert, Omac and Perron transferring out I don’t think anyone imagined we’d be 12-4-0 right now. Jax Bryn Simmer and Smaby deserve a ton of credit for what they put together in a short amount of time. I admit I had uncertainty that we may not take a step back short term but I’m not sure anyone can argue it was a good move looking back. I think the coaching staff Jax put together is just as important, if not more so, than the recruits they got. The way this team plays is prototypical Sioux hockey and they’re setting a foundation for this program that’s really exciting.
  10. Jost had a gorgeous deke and goal right in front of where I was sitting
  11. Reminiscent of a goal Caggiula scored… as a senior
  12. Be even funnier when we sweep them tonight
  13. Can’t imagine the cost there if they did so I imagine they’ve changed, R22 is $1200-1500/jug and won’t get cheaper
  14. This line gives me an appreciate for Jax, I love that he doesn't deflect from holding himself accountable for why a player may have underperformed. "Maybe that's on us as a staff that we underutilized him beforehand."
  15. Thats the wild part is that there isn’t a miss or a guy that’s looked lost. Every guy has looked at minimum capable but more often, outstanding, when judging by what we’ve expected freshmen to produce in the past. And we haven’t even hit Christmas break, exciting stuff
  16. At this point, if there's any doubt just keep these guys out for Omaha as well so they're fully healthy starting the 2nd half starting with Mercyhurst at home Jan 2nd.
  17. I think the episodes where the players take the camera for the weekend are the best ones. Watching them set up a screen to play chel in the bus on the drive down to Omaha was pretty awesome.
  18. I'd argue this year's TTD episodes have been the best(in production & content) in quite a few years. Jax seems to be giving them more access than Bubs, which makes a world of difference.
  19. While it’s the outlier there’s still people talking about us playing so poorly against a bad team. BSU isn’t a bad team this year, they got major reinforcements from major juniors thanks to Serratore being one of the first ones on the recruiting trail a year before the ruling was even made.
  20. I’m not sure why everyone assumes BSU is a tournament killer this year just because they may have been previous years. Teams currently that are worse than BSU: Boston U Omaha CC Arizona St Minnesota
  21. Kaminski throwing up on the sideline, yikes
  22. Reschny due for a goal, he looks great right now
  23. Seriously, all those guys that held this team together in time for Chyz and Jax to recruit to where we are today. Those guys should receive a lot of praise for not taking the easy way out like their counterparts OMac, Perron, and Boisvert. Didn't see us having this good of a team the day that Boisvert transferred, that's for sure.
  24. I think a lot of people are assuming this is the same Bemidji State team as year's past. From everything I've seen and read, that's not the case. They have a lot of players from Canadian juniors and can play a pretty wide open style. Rewatched highlights of their Friday night UMD game and they scored the first 2 then let UMD score 6 straight. Key to me is to win the special teams battle as we both struggle on the PK and to take advantage of the odd man rushes they give us. Some of their defensemen are pretty reckless with pinching so we need to put some goals up.
