I'm more concerned about their accomplishments in their current job, sort of old fashioned that way.

My mistake, thought we were talking about qualifications of our head coaches since that's their current job.

What am I missing? When did any of the others lead their team to a national championship as a head coach?

He didn't mince words. That was what he believed. Some other things were that he didn't realize how good '15-16 team was until after the fact since he had no other team to compare it to. '16-17 was a big step back in talent level. '17-18 team was a really good step forward from previous year(surprising to hear since they missed NCAAs). Then said he thinks this team is set up to be closer to '15-16 level but qualified it saying he can't 100% they will be as good because that team was special. Then he said "...of course if we lose to Bemidji no one cares about that, people want to see results"

Great in practice(from what we've heard), can't finish in games. The bright lights of The Ralph/UND hockey may have affected him so I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see him put up points at CC.

Imperial Palace is now the Linq, which is a decent budget option for hotel. As far as staying close to The Orleans it's really not necessary as Lyft and Uber are cheap and fast to anywhere in Vegas. The Orleans is removed from the craziness of the strip and is an older hotel/casino. If you want to be in the middle of everything stay on the strip as close to The Bellagio as you can. Planet Hollywood, Paris, Harrah's are all decent mid-level hotels with PH being my choice. Venetian, Caesars Palace, Aria for higher end. Wynn, Encore, Cosmo, Bellagio for ultra high end.

For those keeping score at home he also didn't bring up hybrid cars, the Iraq war, or Shetland Ponies.

Trust me when I say the new position has no chance of being the replacement for Schloss, it's entry-level. If anything, I'd guess Miller would jump in if Schloss decided to leave. There's an interview where Schloss said he has a great setup at the GF Herald but there'd be a few opportunities he'd be hard pressed to turn down. One of those being covering the Wild for the Star Tribune.
