  1. Your comment is assuming that blame and suspensions are directly correlated which is incorrect. Someone can share in blame, yet not be suspended. Someone can not break these "rules" you speak of, yet still be blamed because of a moral code and things that are not in the holy grail rulebook you refer to. I hope this comment does not make me a 'male Sarah Palin'.
  2. I like how you didn't even address the fact that you called him out on being biased when he said both things should not have happened. Instead you resort to juvenile name calling as a defense mechanism as a result of having nothing to respond with. That is what's "classless".
  3. I think that's the case for most pictures since the pixels are expanded and definition is lost, especially with the quality of the feed already being SD.
  4. Is that you, John Madden?
  5. Definitely agree with this statement. I told someone on Saturday night at Mariucci that I thought this was the first time in a while I thought playing a wide open game favored UND over MN. It allows Rocco, Kristo, Knight, and Gleason to really shine and use their creativity. If they can just be more responsible in their own zone I think the sky is the limit for this team.
  6. I feel like this keeps going in a circle. Judging by how exasperated and upset Lucia pet was getting, I think there's more to it than that. If it was that simple, Lucia wouldn't have been more emotional than PA has ever seen him in 10-15 years of knowing him. Instead it would just be a simple fact, but even the Minneapolis media is asking why keeping this series in the schedule was a priority and the answer keeps getting warped by Lucia. It seems pretty apparent that he wanted a break for whatever reason.
  7. So in other words, there would only be truth on the boards? haha I just became an even bigger PA fan. He really got down to it with Lucia and didn't let his BS answers suffice. At one point Lucia got so upset that he literally stopped talking out of frustration. I'm glad that the message is loud and clear that it is not acceptable to take a 3-4 year break from this great rivalry.
  8. Anything regarding the actual points I made or just your usual witty and well thought out comment? It's weird that a Gopher fan keeps lurking around a Sioux Sports message board.
  9. So I think regarding the Sioux-Gophers series the following have been determined: 1. Hakstol has clearly stated that he has kept slots open for MN and wants to keep playing them 2. Lucia has clearly stated that he doesn't believe the rivalry is healthy and thinks a break would be good 3. Wisconsin has made sure to continue scheduling UND despite the nickname resolution so that excuse is out. 4. The Gophers have a sudden interest in wanting to schedule in state schools for non-conference games that was not present while a WCHA member. A lawsuit has been mentioned as a reason for this, but no agreement on which said lawsuit would be based has been brought up. 5. Neither team will be significantly affected financially if the rivalry is discountinued therefore neither team needs it more than the other. In my admittedly biased opinion, it appears whoever is responsible for scheduling (Lucia and Friends) does not want to play UND or at least take a break. This doesn't hurt my feelings but (again in my opinion) it hurts the sport of college hockey and the potential it has to draw fans to the game by pushing great rivalries to the side. If I missed anything or misstated something please let me know.
  10. Great point, however that will be a tough one to condense into a cheer format.
  11. "Scoreboard" (I hope)
  12. UAA's whole season is a collapse, which is why giving a team like UAA that disadvantage at that point in the game was ridiculous. Insert visited in place of frequented, the meaning is still there. I tend to like my chirping in person so I'll be on hand at Mariucci to do plenty of it this weekend.
  13. My point was that the "gift"(your words) the Gophers were given handed them an extra point in WCHA standings which can be huge come the end of the year. It's not like I'm nitpicking a tripping minor that happened in the 2nd period of a game in 2004 against Wisconsin so not sure why I should "move past it"(your words again). I watched the Gophers v UAA game because I'm a college hockey fan. I also watched the Sioux game, Nebraska-Omaha, and many others across the country. I mean, it's not like I signed up for an account and frequented my opponent's hockey forums, now that would be pathetic. Sorry, couldn't resist that easy one.
  14. Does it matter how often multiple goals are scored on a major or that it is a possibility? The momentum that it can create is huge. This game happened 5 days ago. I brought it up because it was relevant to a comment about checking from behind. Please let me know the statute of limitations for talking about a past game as I wasn't aware of it.
  15. I'm not questioning his play on the puck but it looked like it shouldn't have been called a penalty or at least not a 5 minute major because he turned so late. That was a huge influence in the outcome of that game. I just don't like refs calling majors on a play that the checking player is not at fault for.
  16. That Friday game against UAA, it looked like Buddish did exactly this. Maybe not trying to put himself at risk, but trying to draw the penalty by turning right before the UAA player hit him. The ref of course gave the 5 minutes to the Gophers who were down by 1 with a few minutes left I believe. The game was over at that point.
  17. I was honestly wondering why 5 years was chosen, since it is easy to make numbers say what you want if a specific time period is chosen. I actually wanted to know. This is a legitimate reason, thanks.
  18. Any specific reason 2008 was picked? Or just convenient for the numbers?
  19. Yeah, going down 2-1 would be really bad. You might as well call the game at that point. I mean, everyone knows a 1 goal lead is the safest lead in hockey...
  20. Just doesn't get any better than that
  21. No, this is pathetic... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x74ktREMyZo
  22. ...and boom goes the dynamite
  23. Last year we were 3-6-1 through 10 games, if we win tonight we'll be 5-3-2 including 2 shutouts, I'd take that over last year with Eades even if you don't like how the D is progressing.
  24. Yup, great point here. The team is struggling in areas right now but they did start the season out with 2 single game exhibition weekends which isn't the best test to learn how to play as a team. I also refuse to doubt Hak and turn on him for a tie even though I too was very disappointed we didn't win. Hopefuly a decisive win tonight will change some "fans" attitudes on here.
