  1. Summit has had Wednesday games for a long time. UND had plenty of games on Saturdays when there was hockey while they were in the Big Sky (like every weekend.....). Mirror scheduling worked pretty well in the Big Sky for UND mainly because the team that was on the road started 1-2 hours after the game in Grand Forks so you were able to catch at least part of it. It would hurt overall streaming numbers but it isn't like any of the Summit schools have a huge traveling fan base for regular season basketball. Need to get a 10th team and get the scheduling mess figured out.
  2. Added days of the week. The women's schedule is a little more tolerable than the men's but still not great. Not a fan of the inconsistent days from week to week.
  3. What an absolutely cluster of days and consistency. Hosting USD, SDSU and NDSU all on Wednesday nights is straight garbage and we play at all of those places on Saturdays. The Summit scheduling is brutal. Home games by day: Wednesday - 3 (NDSU, USD, SDSU) Friday - 1 (Ft. Wayne) Thursday - 1 (Omaha) Saturday - 3 (WIU, ORU, Denver)

    2018 Season

I mean, he has utilized his RB's to the point where one is a three time All-American and another is two time all-conference. And I don't think anyone is going to say our O-Line has been a strength any of the last 3 years. Yes, there's room for improvement but I think the blame game on this has jumped the shark.
  5. Someone proposing it and it actually happening are two completely different things. People have dumb ideas all the time and are free to express them.
  6. http://www.grandforksherald.com/news/4286465-und-plans-raze-39-campus-apartment-buildings Those things were in pretty bad condition and there wasn't much saving them.
  7. That's kind of why I'm on that wait-and-see if it is just a one off or the start of a trend. Possibly just a coincidence.
  8. I agree, but he literally managed to hop on a plane and sign one for USD immediately after being hired though. Very strange. Will be interesting to see if it is a one-off or they grab a few more.
  9. Coe was a grad transfer and had a shot before he decided to hang it up but pretty slim pickings recently.
  10. With their success, NDSU has expanded their recruiting footprint, though they obviously still get a good portion of local talent. The South Dakota schools and UNI don't recruit ND and Minnesota outside of the MSP area, so not seeing some of these kids have other offers is not surprising. The majority of them have been to multiple camps and the staff has had plenty of time to see them.
  11. They need to get rid of the bump outs on Demers that take out the right turn lane. Otherwise, whatever.
  12. Per the Herald: Officers don’t carry animal tranquilizers because the medications require specific licensing and training. Seems like an unneeded expense for something that maybe happens every couple years at most. I'm not sure exactly what kind of "plan" you want them to have. They have 3 options (shoo, sedate or shoot) and have to weigh each situation as it goes. It went on as long as it did because they tried remove it on its own accord, which is the obvious first option even if it takes some time. They were unable to do that because of the crowd of people that basically treed the bear and kept it there. When that didn't work, they needed to find someone that had the proper sedatives, which didn't work, so they had to call someone from the Fargo zoo that had the right mixture. And again, because of the crowds, they needed to be overly cautious so that it didn't attack someone while the sedative kicked in. The outrage if they would have flat out shot it without trying to save it would have been over the top, but I guess that would have saved everyone some time.
  13. You mean like ignore them so they can be ushered out of town safely instead of having 100+ people show up, turn the whole thing into a spectacle that causes the end result of the animal being put down? And I've seen tons of deer in town and not once heard of one being euthanized so I'm not sure why that's being tossed out there. Little bit of a difference between a bear and deer, one is a legitimate public safety hazard, the other might run into a car.
  14. Medically disqualified per Tom Miller.
  15. A $20 million endowment and money to fund another women's sport.
  16. Head coaches get a lot of latitude when hiring assistants. The AD signs off on it and might ask a few questions and offer some guidance but the majority of it falls on the head coach.
  17. With the background him and Horner had, Iowa was the logical place. They had a good tie to MSP with Coach G, but haven't filled that void yet and really need to. I highly doubt Chaves is getting his hands dirty in recruiting, especially considering they have been on a large number of these guys for months or longer.
  18. I heard Williams knew she was going to be out of a job after July 1 when the Summit and Big Sky announced their merger so she took the much higher paying and more prestigious job as the COO of the CFB Playoffs. The announcement of the merger never happened () but it was already too late to go back.....
  19. If the MBB team can manage to start recruiting Olympians, I think they might actually win a few conference titles.
  20. Or something more useful: The general public needs to listen to the police and what "stay away" means so a bear doesn't have to spend 15+ hours not eating and being stuck in a tree for significant periods of time.
  21. Didn't take him long to move on from his high school/college girlfriend who I believe he was still with less than 2 years ago during his rookie season. Will be interesting to see how family life has an effect on all the extra time he spent putting in.
  22. Arby's curly fries and regular McDonald's. Best fast food out there. Well aware, doesn't mean they don't taste good as hell.
  23. Those fries though...

    2018 Season

In the first half against UC Davic, the offense put up 312 yards of offense, averaged 9.75 yards/play and scored 17 points with TOP being 16-14 in favor of UND with one 3 and out (two for the whole game). How in the hell is it the offense's fault the defense gave up 38 points and 421 yards in one half??
