  1. FIFY!!
  2. Win moves us up two spots in the pairwise to no. 6., jumping over Western and Minny.
  3. Don't know anything about him, but a soph. LB just announced that he's leaving the Gophers and transferring. Not that we need LB's or anything..........
  4. Looks like DL's young D-corp and inexperienced goalie are holding up pretty well so far. No scoring, though.
  5. 73-70 UND. Final. "Only" 9 TO's and 2 fouls in the 2nd half.
  6. That would make sense.
  7. Don't know anything about Sheyenne, but we should get a pretty good idea fairly quickly, as they play Red River next week. They've got a boatload of seniors, so maybe they'll be a surprise, though they shouldn't have much experience since they're a startup team. As far as I know, they didn't coop with West Fargo last year, and, even if they did, they would have roughly half of what was a weak West Fargo team from last season.
  8. Would like to see them overachieve and finish no. 4 in order to get home ice in the first round of the EDC Tourn., but 5 or 6 may be more realistic. Depends on the development of their freshmen and sophs.
  9. I saw that; 4 freshmen and an 8th grader on the blue line, plus a first -year goaltender. I guess the good news is that they only gave up one goal last night. Should bode well for the future, though. I think they've got some kids on their top line that can score.
  10. Amen. Thank you.
  11. DL only beat a West bottom feeder by a goal last night. Yikes!
  12. Hope you're right about Devils Lake, but 4 of their 6 defensemen being freshmen (and one an 8th grader) is pretty scary. Fortunately, their first three games are nonconference. I could see them finishing as low as 6-8.
  13. $5.
  14. LOL!
  15. The Game Notes are imbedded in the game preview. Just click on it (Game Notes) and scroll down to the 2-deep toward the end.
  16. Flowers not on the 2-deep or the injury list.
  17. If he has matured, I think he can, too; but I think that's a big if. He's certainly had a great role model to learn what it means to be a leader the last two seasons.
  18. Totally agree. Lots of new faces that I have no idea what or how much they'll bring to the table.
  19. "Gigantic hole" is no overstatement. Amongst other potential concerns, if someone, or several someones, can fill the huge leadership hole left by Q, it will somewhat minimize concerns in other areas. Need everyone to stay healthy and, might I add, eligible.
  20. Coming from Kansas City with two friends; 207 L.
  21. Thanks.
  22. Don't think I ever heard Izzy's name mentioned, or see him on the field, during the PSU game. Was he hurt, or did I just miss him?
  23. Good tackling or bad tackling, that's the best punt return that I've ever seen, at any level. Wish he were only a freshman!
  24. Ok. I don't remember for sure where they were from; it may have been Watertown. Hope you're able to catch the UND/Minnesota games on Midco this weekend. I was only able to get SRO tickets, but I'll be driving up from Kansas City to catch both games plus the FB game.
  25. BTW, by any chance did I meet you and your son standing in line at the Red Pepper the weekend of Sept. 8-9? I remember striking up a conversation with a man and his son from South Dakota that were in Grand Forks for a youth hockey tournament.
