Glad to see Stromme's returning. How do they look next year with him returning? Would like to see them sneak into State one of these years. Pretty tough to do if they stay in the EDC.

If UND hasn't actually gotten a decision from the NCAA yet, it's unconscionable that they've let the team and those three players hanging this long for a decision that shouldn't have taken more than days.

Things can always change, but what Zellers said after the game was encouraging: "We'll be back. We'll for sure be back with this core group." I hope that he DOES come back. I love his play and his attitude.

Hope he's right, but I guess the question is "when will it pass?"

From what little I've read, it sounds like the "5 for 5" rule won't go into effect immediately, thus leaving the current setup in place until it does go into effect, which would be unfortunate for King and Anderson in case they would have considered coming back.

I'll take another Uehlmann and hope that he stays for two.

An excellent postseason analysis. Thanks. If the underclassmen stay and have an excellent offseason work ethic, plus, as you mentioned, we can pick up a true post player and a good 3-pt. shooter, we could conceivably project as a top two next season.

Sure hope so. He seems to be a great kid, and talk about his development skyrocketing after redshirting as a walkon. If he stays and continues to develop, we have minimal losses in the portal, and are finally able to get a true big out of the portal, next year could be very interesting.

I notice that the softball team has quietly won 14 of their last 15 games.

You're right, unfortunately, that some billet families might be better role models than the real parents, but, hopefully, that would be rare and would be tough to know in advance. Would still love to see players complete high school at home so that they can be under their parent's influence, unless, as yzerman19 said, in the rarest of instances a senior has exceptional talent and, as I mentioned, that it's God's plan for them to further that talent at a higher level.

As you say, that would be the rarest of exceptions. If that's God's plan for their life, then go for it, as He has given that person exceptional talent for a reason.

All I'm saying is that it gives me pause whenever I hear disparaging comments from someone who MAY have an axe to grind, especially when I hear it second or third hand. Perhaps we'll see whenever the beloved portal opens. FYI, I coached varsity boys BB for 29 years.
