I agree unfortunately. We seemed to be off to a good start and then meh. I hope we come out strong second half. Drake can be domimated, they aren't that good.

And they had Craig Bohl banging cheerleaders before he came to NDSU just for good measure. Probably banged a few in Fargo too.

If Bubba should get fired after this year we need to bring in outside blood. Part of the problem has been always turning to people already associated with UND and that seems to be getting stale. Personally, I don't think this will be Bubba's last year though.

QB is the one position I worry about the most. More so than NG even. I just remember what I saw last year, but that said, I'm firmly in the 7-4 camp and a playoff spot.

Sorry for taking it wrong way. I'm a little too determined to get into the playoffs to really care about NDSU I guess.

I don't get the 1-10 remark. I'd be fine with 10-1 and the 1 loss was to NDSU, even by 40. NDSU is just one team and one game. The big picture says we need to make the playoffs and then roll when we get there. We measure improvements by post season results, not a victory over some mythical program, even if they are the hated enemy.

I agree with everything except I think we beat Montana State and lose to UC Davis. Overall at 7-4 gets to the next level and we go from there.

Dev Ferguson was "technically" a Mussman verbal, but he did sign with Bubba. Still, you have a valid observation.

It's just hard to fathom what could have been if he had only stayed those last 2 years.

Some days I wonder the same thing. Mainly that I just don't remember the last minute commits being over the top guys. But yes, Case was an early commit and left and that burns in my mind more than anything that we lost him.

I think the Bison have the "U". It's penned up in the sheep barn with all the other ewes.

What I remember most about last December was the stud QB that jumped ship.

So we wait until the other top schools cheery pick the best players and they we settle for recruits? I sure hope not. Until the last few days our recruiting has been top notch. Hurts to lose a couple of great possibilities but I think we've taken a positive step. We just need to battle for the rest and hopefully Bubba can pull off a few miracles. I sure wish we'd beat the XDSU's on a few boys though.

I wonder the same thing. We should have found a cup cake to schedule for a win. A bye isn't going to get us anything. I'm still think we can pull off 7 wins but it sure would have been nice to go 8-4. At any rate, as others said, no playoffs, no Bubba. I really felt earlier that no PLAYOFF WIN this year, no Bubba. He's had plenty of time to get things done and it's not happening. So why didn't we schedule a twelfth game? No one available?

Klein sounds like a hell of a commit for us. Now I just hope he signs with us in 6 months, can't let someone poach him.

This is why I'm not impressed with Bubba recruiting these high risk guys like Grady and Weah. We need guys that will be here 5 years.

From the rumors I've heard is that the gobc don't like zeros.

I have always heard they wanted him badly before he went to the Gophs but told him that ship sailed when he was looking to transfer. I'm not saying there isn't an NDSU spin on this, but given the large number of RB's they had plus their dislike for transfers, I'm inclined to think they weren't too interested. Maybe someone from the Bison camp will weigh in on this.

And Grady was a bust really. Good player but still never worked out and really wasn't worth the trouble. Johannesson also is good but not quite I had hoped for either, but it could be the way he was used, and I don't think NDSU wanted him after he went to Gophers so not really someone we stole from the Bison unfortunately. I don't have the answer to what it takes for good recruiting, but Bubba needs to keep trying other things. He doesn't seem to have a lot success he can hang is hat on.
