As I said a couple weeks ago, I'll believe it when I see it. I think it's just podcasters who know they get clicks if they push the rumor and it's Bison guys trying to look important after getting beat in a playoff game they expected to win by 30. It will be a long offseason for them just thinking about the loss.

I'm still overjoyed over the Bison pulling what has to be the biggest choke job ever in FCS playoffs. I hope the knife burns hot whenever they watch the rest of the playoffs. Let's see how cocky they are after this.

I think a lot of schools have a one way policy on the portal. Once you declare, you are gone. No going back and it's made abundantly clear from day one. That really is a good policy and saves kids from snap decisions.

Unfortunately that seems to be the case.

Even if he did have something lined up I sure wouldn't be impressed. How dumb can you be? He'll probably dump on the next team as well. I know the portal is a fact now and we have to deal with it but I absolutely don't get excited about transfers, in or out. My motto is, once a transfer always a transfer. They'll dump you in a heartbeat when the next shiny thing come along.

I think Mankato would have a very hard time getting permission from the state to move up. U of M protects their turf pretty heavily

Won't the Summit be under the minimum team number if we kick NDSU out? That would hurt us as much as them. I'm not following the Summit connection to football either

I've two completely separate lines of thought on this and I'm not sure which is right. I agree, if they move up and especially with the South Dakota schools collapsing under their own weight that leaves us positioned to pick up the void and move to the top. However, I remember how people thought NDSU moving up from D2 would somehow help us and be a disaster for them. We all know how that turned out. NDSU never wins a natty again if they move up, that's for sure, but I sure hope they don't somehow catch lightning in a bottle again. I think the whole point is moot, I'm not convinced they get that mythical invite.

NDSU has been going FBS for the last 5 years or more. I'll believe it when I see it.
