I've two completely separate lines of thought on this and I'm not sure which is right. I agree, if they move up and especially with the South Dakota schools collapsing under their own weight that leaves us positioned to pick up the void and move to the top. However, I remember how people thought NDSU moving up from D2 would somehow help us and be a disaster for them. We all know how that turned out. NDSU never wins a natty again if they move up, that's for sure, but I sure hope they don't somehow catch lightning in a bottle again. I think the whole point is moot, I'm not convinced they get that mythical invite.

NDSU has been going FBS for the last 5 years or more. I'll believe it when I see it.

Seriously, Wentz has been hurt more often than not with season ending injuries going back to high school. That seems to be a pattern.

So which playoff scenario do we see? A 2014 Bubba where they take a MVFC team with one more loss than us, send us on the road to a team with a tent, or on the road to get over matched against a team like Weber? I suppose today could be compared to Richmond, a loss at the very end.

The thing is, NDSU looked horrible yesterday and we still lost. The more I think about it UND should have won by 2 touchdowns.
