The truth is hard to swallow for us Sioux fans...The Bison made a choice and its paid off in spades. Two Back to Back National Championships in their first decade in Division IAA - I think there are a lot of football fans in GF that would give their left nut for this type of outcome for UND. As for bitchin about Hockey posters questions on the Sioux football program, I think you guys whining need to take a pill and get some perspective - people love winners and winners put people in the seats, regardless if its football or hockey. No doubt we have one hell of a schedule for football this year and I plan on tailgating the hell out of it and attending the games, but if we come out with a one win scenario in the next 5 games and its the Valpo win we shouldn't be harping on the fans for why they aren't in the seats...my 2 cents. From my recollection, the recipe is as follows...you have to do the proportions via testing to get the proper mix as the recipe involve large qtys... - Need to find the most generic govt brand salad dressing...its not mayo or miracle whip, but rather generic salad dressing - Ground black pepper (strong stuff, not weak crap) - Milk to make it flow (I would think 2% would work) - Touch of salt for taste Again, don't go crazy on the salt, but be liberal with the pepper,,,Also, its not swiss cheese its white American The buns can be found at Hugos on the east side and the hot sauce is hot and thin, no chunks... shredded lettuce at Hugos as well and the white american is sold in slices in the cheese aisle... Melt the trophy down and start from anew....remember to use non-cultural links to the state...try some inert trophies like the north vs south trophy or the I-29 trophy...keep anything of North Dakota cultural value out of the event as we all know how wrong we have been for 80 years by ignoring the glaring abusive and hostile aspects of our athletics program.

I read today the article on the new TV schedule for the Big Sky on DirecTv and I am so anxious about our ability to get into the Big Sky...I know they state we are on the schedule, but like Faison and Kelley say we are in a precarious position with the Big Sky by not getting rid of the Sioux nickname...I'm just waiting for the final shoe to fall and UND will be kicked out of the Big Sky which they aren't technically members yet...Oh, the anxiety...I hope the sky doesn't fall! I don't disagree with the premise that the congress needs to be aligned (see the recent health bill)...But, what I cannot stand is the President allowing the EPA to make these ridiculous rulings without congress being allowed to do their jobs. Additionally, we all know as North Dakotan's this is another example of outsiders (e.g. NCAA, Kelly, etc.) telling us how to behave or what to do or what we cannot do...its time people start understanding this situation is indicative of the serious issues when the country was formed relative to state vs federal rights.

Football: Beating the Bison in 93 to break the curse...NC was simply a miracle...Perkerewicz from the one yd line to win! Too many Potato bowls with my Dad and winning all of the little plastic football games played at the end zones of the memorial or on the practice field behind the stadium Hockey: Watching Holy Cross beat the #1 gophers in our own hockey palace....The Lammy Ladies coming back to the home team..Opening of the ralph with my wife and father....watching late 70's and early 80's Sioux teams and imitating them as a kid in street hockey and then having the Sioux team visit my school after the Wisconsin super-fight...watching the 80 olympic gold medal game and knowing a Sioux player was representing on the team, watching neighborhood kid, Jason Blake, play for the Sioux, not enough space.... Basketball: Can't stand the sport, but I got to hang with my Dad as kid when he took me to the 2 for 1 games of early basketball during the Gunther days and then off to a Hockey game...totally sweet deal....womens championship and the vonesh/goldseth games against the turds down south; remember the games at the Hyslop as a kid where you could go jump on the track and field mats and chase your friends around until the horn sounded the end of the game. Wrestling: Good friend who worked his ass off, knowing they were going to cancel the program and still put in the best matches of his career Swimming: Hidden gem of UND...no one paid much attention to the ton of achievements and championships generated by this team...Had a few friends who swam and understood how good they really are....

Going to be moving to Springfield IL soon and wanted to know if there is any Fighting Sioux fans or hangouts in the city or close by...

Hopefully when the folks from Fargo switch from saying "Sioux Suck" to saying, "North Dakota Sucks" they can understand the irony.....

Just to get this straight...You are willing to let the nickname and logo go if it means we can find a conference for Football and Basketball, but you want it keep it and hold it in high regard when an R-tard in Fargo who says Sioux Suck...Wow...speechless.
