I hate to play arm chair psychologist on this but I've wondered the same thing. My theory is maybe she wanted to ended it for herself and couldn't fathom the idea of her children being without a mother and/or believed they would all be together in whatever afterlife, so chose to take there own lives too. Just my guess, but will never know the why.

I still like how we are reaching into Canada for kids. I know it's not Florida, Georgia, Texas, or California but think it is a great place to find those hidden gems. It certainly makes our climate less of a recruiting barrier and makes it easier for Canucks to see their kids play.

I dont know why people just cant move on. The logo and name is never coming back ever. You don't have to support it or buy shirts, but bringing up Sioux in every UND post is just dumb. What is even the point, complaining will change nothing? Life is to short to be angry about things that cant be changed. Worry about other stuff instead.

I ate ay the red pepper the other day and has to ask for the sauce bottles and no forks were found without asking. I really don't eat there much, so not sure it that is how it always has been.

I would avoid the econolodge, stayed there once and its the most basic accommodations. Location isnt the greatest, other thenbeing next to speedway restaurant. Cheap lodging I would recommend is the Ramada, Knights Inn, and Roadway Inn.

Certainly the closest place to authentic Mexican cuisine.

I love how this board has came up with a creative idea to boost UND athletics. However, realistically I feel this will never happen. It's very hard for universities to add sports, especially something like lax which requires biggish rosters and niche equipment. I hope to eat my words because it would be a great addition, but just dont believe it will happen. Saying that, I would contribute to a Lax fund if established.

I realize it's not the same, but didnt Alabama sell out its Spring Game a few years ago? So make it interesting enough, free, and worth people's time they will show up.

I hope the new AD has something up his sleeve as the Spring Gane would be a great way to fill the athletics void this time of year. The only sports occuring right now, most people dont really follow or care (hopefully softball is changing that view) Especially during the off years with UND post-season hockey. Would be a great way to celebrate both the current athletic year success and looking ahead toward the next one.

Mayville is hiring a new AD. Any rumors of UND staff appying?

I think the fritz is undertilized. There should be more opportunity to get off-broadway shows and other entertainment that is best in that type kf space. Grand Forks is lucky for a town its size to have so many entertainment venues.

This Winnipeg uses the Red River as a freezeway with warming huts, activities, hockey rink, and all kinds of stuff.

Lets go the professional expansion route. If you want womens hockey to return, buy a permanent seat license for the team. I bet they will be lining up

How long do you think It would take the new AD to starting looking for a new direction if this trend continues? Next season or in two seasons?

I occasionally check prices out of Winnipeg and they tend to be $100 or more cheaper then GFK, which is a significant savings for two people. Certainly worth the extra drive. Anyone see the fluff article about GFK being the third busiest airport in U.S.? I know its based on touches, but lets not compare it to Ohare.
