I'm from the area, would be awesome if true. Bridgestone is a great facility and at a perfect location. I'll even bring a few friends and family with me for new fighting hawks fans. Hopefully it's not during college football season or there will be very few casual observers. On Saturdays in SEC country nothing else matters. I place my bets with UAH being involved somehow.

The hypothetical if UND football played on a grass surface, no doubt the logo would have been in place last season. I assume the cost of ripping and replacing 20-40 yards worth of carpet didnt make sense for something being replaced in a few years anyway.

You think most schools give a damn about our logo situation? I bet most fan bases couldn't even tell you what our old logo was! I wore an interlocking ND hat years ago in the south. Anyone that talked to be while wearing it said Go Irish, dont think one person thought Sioux.

AHL team? I don't think Grand Forks could even support a ECHL team. Best case, USHL. However, it's not like Scheels arena sells out every Force game and has 3x the market size and smaller arena. The hockey relationship us going nowhere, terms just might change for each sude. The only stumbling block is basketball and volleyball which can be played over at the Alerus. However, once again what will REA do to place people in the Betty? Not only will the still pay for operating cost, but also have signifcant opportunity cost. Seems bad business idea.

The REA and UND both need each other. UND needs a place to play at least hockey, and REA needs people through the doors. REA will renew whatever contract is being disputed because they are not making money if the building sits empty.

Nothing better then enjoyed a cold one on a hot day, while watching the boys of summer. Colleigete Summer League Baseball is pretty popular in Bismarck, Rochester, and Duluth. I would prefer Grand Forks to have an American Association team, but anything would be awesome. I hear there is a former college coach in the area

I hate to play arm chair psychologist on this but I've wondered the same thing. My theory is maybe she wanted to ended it for herself and couldn't fathom the idea of her children being without a mother and/or believed they would all be together in whatever afterlife, so chose to take there own lives too. Just my guess, but will never know the why.

I still like how we are reaching into Canada for kids. I know it's not Florida, Georgia, Texas, or California but think it is a great place to find those hidden gems. It certainly makes our climate less of a recruiting barrier and makes it easier for Canucks to see their kids play.

I dont know why people just cant move on. The logo and name is never coming back ever. You don't have to support it or buy shirts, but bringing up Sioux in every UND post is just dumb. What is even the point, complaining will change nothing? Life is to short to be angry about things that cant be changed. Worry about other stuff instead.

Good article, thanks. The comment about football can be applied to 80% of all colleges (FBS, FCS, and downward) but right or wrong it is always a sacred cow.

I ate ay the red pepper the other day and has to ask for the sauce bottles and no forks were found without asking. I really don't eat there much, so not sure it that is how it always has been.
