  1. The quarterfinals games and locations: No. 1 New Hampshire vs. No. 8 Chattanooga -- Cowell Stadium (Durham, NH) No. 4 Eastern Washington vs. No. 5 Illinois State -- Roos Field (Cheney, WA) No. 2 North Dakota State vs. No. 7 Coastal Carolina -- Fargodome (Fargo, ND) No. 6 Villanova vs. Sam Houston State -- Villanova Stadium (Villanova, PA)
  2. Yup. This is the first weekend w/o FBS so the FCS playoffs go to ESPN.
  3. When SDSU was down 20-17 but moving the ball late I said to the folks I was with that it was the perfect scenario: run Zenner, run the ball, score late. Then the pass interference happened and SDSU moved from the 27 to the 3 way too fast. When SDSU scored and left NDSU more than 3 minutes I knew it was a problem for SDSU. And I was right. Now? I see a clear path to Frisco for NDSU (as I said before here).
  4. Very odd. Could PSU be looking at the UAB solution?
  5. Brad E. Schlossman @SchlossmanGF Hakstol on the coaching staff's reaction to seeing the team at No. 1 in polls: "Balloons and streamers." Which I'm sure was followed with ...
  6. Осторожно, не все украинцы считают себя русскими.
  7. Return of the "North Dakota Uke Line"? (We'll sort out the rookies and n00bs fast now.)
  8. What the deal with the NHL and mumps this year? Now maybe Suter, which would make five on the Wild. http://www.startribune.com/sports/blogs/284621841.html

  10. Why does it seem like the Big Sky finished so early compared to the NCAA tournament.
  11. Those games make the conferences a lot of money. That's your answer.
  12. Dr. (and deputy mayor) Mahoney would seem to be that guy.
  13. Those are just the wells. They don't show the pipelines. And yes, wells go down about five miles and then turn horizontal and go about two miles; hence, the name "horizontal drilling". Fracking happens in the horizontal stretch. Cool looking map but I guess I'm not sure what the NYT's point is.
  14. < tip cap to former worthy adversary >
  15. Let me explain the NCAA's motives ... The NCAA saw an easy way to fleece $60 million into their coffers.
  16. He skipped the handshake line? Immature. Weak. Or dare I say ... Ortega: green and mild ...
  17. The current KRACH says that LSSU and Wisconsin are pretty much the same team. I recall two wins against Wisconsin, but I also recall the games being anything but a walk in the park. Losing one of these games could be devastating to rankings (think: PWR) for the rest of the season. Be ready, put them down quick, and roll four. -- And that's BOTH nights, thank you.
  18. I can name at least two guys as important, if not more so, in Fargo-Moorhead as Bresciani, same income bracket, critical roles in the community, who don't have drivers. And both guys are NDSU grads.
  19. Bullseye, meet Back. Back, meet Bullseye.
  20. Reputation (not performance) based balloting?

  23. Sorry, but I don't see Erstad as a HOFer. If Tim Raines and Alan Trammell aren't in, I don't see Erstad either.
  24. Regarding the question that started this thread, the answer is "both" until we get healthy.
