nodak hockey fanatic Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 I haven't seen it discussed yet, just wondering when we expect to have Chay back. That is a big role to fill so hopefully he won't be out too long. I thought I heard Hak say in the pregame Saturday that he didn't think it was too serious, but they didn't really know anything for sure yet. Quote
The Whistler Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 While we're at it how did he get hurt. I didn't see it as it was away from the play. I asked someone who was watching it on TV and they hadn't see it either. Quote
Big A HG Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 He was right in front of me when it happened, but the puck was elsewhere so my eyes were as well, I noticed right from the get-go he was hurt and the only player I saw in the vicinity was another Sioux player, so it may have been a collision with a teammate. toddswife Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 I still haven't heard anything other than it is a "lower body injury" Any one out there have anything new to add? Quote

Sioux-Hockey-Fan Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Cary Eades said today on The Dave Hakstol Show that Chay had a MRI done on monday, and that they were still reading the results. He went on to say that Chay will be "out for awhile" in a tone that sounded like it was more than a week or two. get well soon Chay. Quote
WiSioux Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Saw Chay tonight at dinner and although he was walking with a noticable limp, he didn't have a boot or crutches or anything. Quote

nodak hockey fanatic Posted November 30, 2007 Author Posted November 30, 2007 Saw Chay tonight at dinner and although he was walking with a noticable limp, he didn't have a boot or crutches or anything. unfortunately, if it is an acl or mcl, he could be walking just fine, but not be able to play. I think I had heard the MRI results were negative??? so if that is true, hopefully we will see him back in the lineup soon. Quote

Blackheart Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 my "source" says he's probably done for the year. hope he's wrong...doubt it though... Quote
brianvf Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 my "source" says he's probably done for the year. hope he's wrong...doubt it though... Done for the year...as in the year 2007 (another month), or done for the season? It would really suck to lose Chay for the whole season, he's such a versatile playmaker from both the blueline or at forward. Quote
Goon Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 my "source" says he's probably done for the year. hope he's wrong...doubt it though... There is only 4 more games in the year. I am hoping he will be ready by the UNH series. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 my "source" says he's probably done for the year. hope he's wrong...doubt it though... If the report that there was NO structural damage via a MRI is accurate from last week, that would suprise me. Now I hope whoever leaked that info on the MRI results knows a break in a bone IS structural damage (and a MRI is not used for that type of diagnosis)?? And never take the word "probably" in the literal sense from someone not in the medical field as it relates to the health status of a player. That's like taking parenting advice from Britney Spears!! tnt Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Cary Eades said today on McNamara that Chay wants to play against Minnesota, but they will have to wait and see. If that's the case, then Blackheart's source needs to be discarded. Quote

I hope Genoway is back soon; we need him!! Quote

Oxbow6 Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 to quote Eades "Genoway is probable for this weekend" I would say that's a ways from "probably done for the year" Quote
siouxkid12 Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 I would say that's a ways from "probably done for the year" It's kind of hard to say when someone will be back espically with laws prohibiting coaches from saying how severe the injury is. The only people that know how severe the injury is, is from the coaches, player and the doc (and i doubt any of them will tell the honest truth). Quote

Big A HG Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Diffently, I would go with the coaches word before someone elses on this board saying "my source" Coaches don't like to leak a lot of info, so what he said might not mean much. Quote
