NDSUFREAK10 Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 If that's the reason, they won't like Bohl either. Well I don't think you can say anything since you have never talked to the guy face to face. He is a great guy that wants to win and is down to earth. Quote
NDSUFREAK10 Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Mark it down right now. There is absolutely NO chance (read: ZERO) that Bohl gets the Gopher offer. GOOD! Hope you dont think we want him gone. Quote
WYOBISONMAN Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 It is all about MONEY. If Bohl gets the call he would be gone as the money is too great to ignore......... Quote

He is a great guy that wants to win and is down to earth. Ohhh, well in that case just hand him the job...in fact if Saban wouldn't have taken the Alabama job I bet Bohl was next on the list. Great guy, wants to win, down to earth...all the makings of a great college football coach. Quote
Matt Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 If that's the reason, they won't like Bohl either. An uninformed cheap shot...shocking. Quote

BinaIsGod Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Here is an article from today listing the supposed top candidates for the UM job. Quote
BigGame Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 I thought it was pretty funny that Art Bryles shot the gophers down and wouldn't even agree to an interview. You would think a chance to jump from conference USA to the Big 10 would at least get him to interview. Quote
Diggler Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 How many of the people who think Mason was a jerk have ever talked to him face to face? Can't have it both ways. Craig Bohl seems outgoing and talkative to NDSU fans. Glen Mason seemed to be the exact opposite. He never took phone calls on his weekly radio show and called the students a bunch of drunks. Whether Mason is actually Mother Theresa and Bohl is Joseph Stalin's son doesn't matter. All that matters is perception. Quote
WYOBISONMAN Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 How many of the people who think Mason was a jerk have ever talked to him face to face? Can't have it both ways. Calling Bohl a "jerk" is seems a pretty baseless accusation. What are you basing that on? I have found Craig Bohl to be intelligent, witty and a real asset to NDSU. Quote

Shawn-O Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 How many of the people who think Mason was a jerk have ever talked to him face to face? Can't have it both ways. The high school coaches in Minnesota couldn't stand him, this was a common known fact before the "Maturi seeks to heal the rift" articles. Quote
BIGSIOUX Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 just the fact that bohl hasnt stated he is committed to staying at SU makes me question the bison faithful that are so 'sure' he won't leave if offered the position. Quote

There are no Bison faithful that know what Bohl would do if offered the position, despite what many say. Quote
Hawkster Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 I think you have to remember the fate of past successful Bison coaches who left. There was Jim Wacker who eventually when to Minnesota and was fired for miserable teams. There was Don Morton who eventually went to Wisconson, only to get fired for miserable teams. There was Earl Solomonson who went to Montana and was never heard from again. Why leave a succesful program? Quote

The Blackshirts became the Pinkshirts on his watch at Nebraska, so I don't see this happening. Courtesy interview....keeps U of M in the newspapers in the Dakotas. Quote

You've made a pretty good argument for why no decent football coach will ever work for NDSU again. Quote
SiouxMD Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Fox Sports just reported that Coach Bohl is just one of two coaches called by the U of M to interview. I didn't catch the name of the other guy. The other AD with two first names did not have much to say...Coach Bohl refused an interview. Quote
SiouxMeNow Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 You've made a pretty good argument for why no decent football coach will ever work for NDSU again. unless you consider ndsu the "apogee" of your coaching career...but who would really?? (kind of a career crusher as it appears... ) Quote

WYOBISONMAN Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Am I the only one who senses that Bohl is a bit full of himself? I just can't take the guy seriously ever since his ludicrous comment about NDSU football being the premier sporting event in the state of North Dakota. He's obviously never been to a Sioux hockey game at the Ralph. Dave.......he is the NDSU FOOTBALL coach.....not a UND cheerleader!?!?! Quote
GeauxSioux Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Dave.......he is the NDSU FOOTBALL coach.....not a UND cheerleader!?!?! Do you mean he is not both? Quote
Csonked Out Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Just saw this in the Bismarck Tribune today. Minnesota Interested in Bohl I dont know if he is a top candidate for the job but the fact a somewhat new D1-aa coach has the interest of a big ten school is quite an amazing feet in itself. Quote
