MikeyPete Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Mike has landed at GFK. I have a few pic's but can not load them. How can I load them? Quote
dj_hoime Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Welcome back Mike!!!!!!! Glad you could come! Quote
sprig Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Mike has landed at GFK. I have a few pic's but can not load them. How can I load them? You need a place from which to serve them. Upload them to your isp space or use free photo site. Or, check with the admin here, they may serve them for you. Here's a google load of sites that will host them free. Quote
PCM Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Here are some photos the MikeyPete e-mailed me of Mike Commodore arriving in Grand Forks with the Stanley Cup. Quote
Diggler Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 It's just not the same without the clown hair Quote
dagies Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 As I scrolled down the pics I came to the second one where the guy in the jersey is starting to exit the plane with the cup. I thought the next pic might be the one with him going head over heels down the ramp! O well. Quote
MafiaMan Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 As I scrolled down the pics I came to the second one where the guy in the jersey is starting to exit the plane with the cup. I thought the next pic might be the one with him going head over heels down the ramp! O well. I thought the same thing and wondered to myself, "boy, would that guy with the white gloves on in all the NHL commercials be MAD!" Quote
sprig Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Great to see the pics. Hope for more from the REA tonight, for those of us not there Quote
mwade Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 This photographer was following Ray Whitney around for the day, but Commodore is in a few of the pictures. Quote
Goon Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Is that Steve Kuhlman coming off the jet with the cup? It looks like him. Quote
Sioux-cia Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Siouxmama and I ran into the guy with the white gloves in the Sioux Shop. He let us wear his gloves. Not Lord Stanley but something that does get close. Goofy, I know. He was a nice guy. He's with the cup 24/7, I believe he said it travels 264 days a year. 30 days a year it's at the NHL Hall of Fame. He said the rest of the year there's a replica at the Hall of Fame. This guy has been with the cup for six years. Sounds like an extremely tiring job. Wish I had it. Quote
larsensa Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Is that Steve Kuhlman coming off the jet with the cup? It looks like him. That is Steve Kuhlman. I think that is his corporate jet too! I guess it is good to be the king eh? Quote
siouxforeverbaby Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 I didn't make it in time for the program because I had a prior commitment, so I didn't get to see Mike. I did get there right before they took it away and got a picture, so I was happy. Quote
siouxfan5 Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Will Mike only be here today or will he be at the Ralph tomorrow also? Quote
Sioux-cia Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Will Mike only be here today or will he be at the Ralph tomorrow also? Sorry, siouxfan5. The cup and Mike were only here for the day. Quote
Siouxmama Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Will Mike only be here today or will he be at the Ralph tomorrow also? Today was it. Quote

ScottM Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Many thanks from us Sioux fans in bouncyball country who cannot make back to Hockey Nirvana very often. Quote
ABER Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Nice picture of Mike holding up the cup on the Herald website. Under Mike's picture, click on more photos. I think it is picture number 5 of 6. http://www.grandforks.com/mld/grandforks/15337229.htm Quote
WiSioux Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Wouldn't that have been a great first day of class... to have the Stanley Cup show up.... I'm jealous! Quote

Let'sGoHawks! Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Commie is awesome! On a side note, can you believe how much weight Scott Hennen has lost! Quote
Sioux-cia Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Commie is awesome! On a side note, can you believe how much weight Scott Hennen has lost! Yeah, my first thought when I saw him was, 'Cancer or gastric bypass?'. He's lost at least 150 pounds since the last time I saw him which was at last years Frozen Four in Columbus. Quote
