This is about the biggest possible Frozen Four you could come up with. Destination city. 3 MASSIVE fanbases (UND, UW, UM). UND and UW for instance have been #1 and #2 in college hockey attendance for years with prideful sports cultures. Michigan probably has the most iconic college sports program across all sports (Maize and Blue, Big House, alums everywhere).

The only bigger line-up would be exchanging Denver for Minnesota (large fanbase & MN) or BC/BU (to get the east coast & MA engaged).

If you said, come up with the biggest possible F4...it's UND, Michigan, Minnesota, and dealers choice of Wisconsin/BU/BC.

Yes. Plus, if UND loses, I would rather lose to Michigan than Denver. I would also rather have Michigan get 10 titles than DU getting 11 (lesser of 2 evils).

It's tough for me to root for either of those.  All are terrible options if not UND.  I don't envy being a Gopher or UMD fan next weekend

I would obviously like UND to win it all.  As for an alternate, all I'll say is that at the beginning of the season I placed five bets on five different teams to win the championship, at the following odds:

UND +1800

UConn + 5000

Michigan +900

Denver +1500

Wisconsin +6000

 

So yeah, outside of UND winning, I do sort of have an order of preference.

I honestly think he's more than happy to have had the season he's had. Even if he doesn't win a natty, I don't think he regrets his decision one bit as he's flourished over there. I still don't like the fact that he completely checked out in the 2nd half of the season last year, but I honestly forget about him at times

Same, without him leaving we likely don’t get one or more of the players we got. You can only have so many minutes to share among players
