Just curious. How did the size of our fan base compare to NDSU? The boy have to be exhausted and will have 2 play 3 days in a row. Who knows. These guys don’t give up.

There’s is about 25% bigger yesterday probably gonna be quite a bit bigger today as Izzo and McFeeley have been pumping it up quite a bit and our beat writers don’t do squat

Begging fans to attend their favorite team’s games is weird from Izzo and company.

Sad to say, but if you need makes even the first four that game will be more watched than all the NCAA hockey games combined

That’s sad part of it because before when we were division 2 when we won hockey championships that was division 1 and we played against a lot big schools that were in big ten and back in the day Big East so it made us more big time. Now when we’re D 1 basketball getting to the dance is bigger than hockey in national attenttion but locally people haven’t realized that because our local media just haven’t recognized this because harder to sell than playing championship. Hockey is important but it has grown here where it has taken away from other sports plus killed number other sports here at UND over the years.

Getting a little ahead of ourselves, but IMO playing a first-four game would be awesome for a couple reasons:

- It would not overlap with any other tournament game, so we would get all college basketball viewership.

- We would have a decent chance to win that game, which would be great for the program to win on that stage.

This being said… 

I believe in some ways we have already won! Last nights National TV, the ending, highlights, March madness ect.. 

This has brought National attention to the program as will tonight’s game. 
 

Not many even in this group can probably remember our 1st trip, the year, coach and who we played, without looking it up!

And UND athletics are doing good.

Matter of opinion! 

-Hockey hires - both Berry and Jackson home grown, easy choices.

-Football - Schmitty same thing

- Sather - jury still out, needs more help

- All other hires, volleyball, WBB, soccer, have been very unsuccessful

- softball got a boost, cause a daughter wanted to play here. 

- also unsuccessful, getting resources, funding, and completion of additional projects. 
 

- REA runs there show, and influences the others. Not our AD. 
 

Only success we seem to have is in individual sports, golf, tennis, track.

100%...either or both of em....first play of the game should be a kraft "put your head down and go the the basketball and see what happens"....get his head right

Congrats to UND.  Fun game to watch.  St. Thomas is a frustrating opponent and they play as rough as the refs allow.  Any team playing UST should immediately match their rough play so long as the refs permit it to happen.  Coach Sather and his team did a nice job.  Looking forward to the championship game.  Good luck to the Hawks.
