once again...summit is on life support even before the ndac did this....what's their fallback?  those above schools COULD move the bsc....und's been there before ....usd bitched out like normal back then....they/us might still be there if usd had some balls

I dont need to get money for football. NDSU does. They'll figure it out or they won't. Nothing I do will have any impact on that.

Summit didnt have have FB so we didnt leave them.  So there is no reason to even think they would have an issue .

The  schools in the MVFC and the big sky and the summit that have interest in not being left behind need to do what’s in their best interest.. anybody that thinks the bison wouldn’t leave the summit in 30 seconds if they got a better offer is delusional.  They already included wording in theMVC contract that says they will be the first invited to apply full member.. 

i happen to like the idea of a summit / big sky / MVFC full sport conference.. mont, mont state / und / sdsu / usd / st Thomas / Idaho / Idaho st / Weber state / 

I’m sure I’m missing a few.. but it’s fun to think about.. and then could move up as a group to whatever becomes of ncaa d1

Doesn't have to happen this year or next, but the planning should start. Get everyone on the same page. I cannot think of who says no (I'm including current members of Conf USA).

The language means nothing. They would be invited to apply for full membership with no promises of being accepted.
UC-Davis has the exact same language when they joined for all sports outside of football. Their contract said if the league expanded football membership, they would be the first time invited to apply but had no guarantees. So either they weren't ready, the MWC didn't want them for football or they weren't willing to pay the ransom that NDST was.

This doesn't mean that they wouldn't be accepted, however the language in the contract guarantees nothing.

To be clear .. whether their application is successful or not is not the point.. 

the point is that they have language looking for a different option.. why should UND and others sit around and hope.. when your wife tells you she wants to date other guys you should believe her 😀.. not hope she will stick around after nobody else wants her.
