Yet he doesn't demand a discussion after supposedly getting ejected? None of the coaches questioned it and gave the refs a chance to say "we didn't eject him"? Maybe he was just glad to get out of there. Probably was a little embarrassing getting spanked like that on your home ice. Quote

Yeah, if you believe their announcers we were warned time and again the night prior before they gave us a bench minor, so you would think Powers would argue why does he get booted without a warning. Still not buying it. Quote

To me it felt like Powers was looking to get ejected, similar to how a Baseball Manager argues a call looking to get ejected. I don't think he cared if he was ejected or not, just wanted out. The were looking to sweep and get a big jump in the NPI and instead get swept on their home ice. Looks to me like after the weekend they will need to win the conference tournament to make the tournament. 1 Quote
Wilbur Posted 8 hours ago Author Posted 8 hours ago I think he was completely fine missing the hand shake line. 99% of the time the official gets to communicate the fact with the coach he has been removed from the game before the coach leaves the bench. In his mind they come back and win 7-6 Friday night with the major, and his team blew a 2 goal lead when the game was played 5x5 and his top line was gassed. Someone already mentioned it, but they are legitimately a head coach away from becoming legit. Start recruiting the CA area hard and get a kid like Soller or other kids that hike up to Shattuck and they could very well be a top three program in the NCHC. Quote

St, Clair will win them their first National Title Quote
nodakgirl93 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I think Powers was embarrassed after getting the bench minor. Add in how the weekend went and yeah he wanted to GTFO. I still would like to know what he did or say after the 5th UND goal to get that penalty. In post game presser he said applauded... Quote
