Now do Bismarck..... you'll have to take your socks off and use your toes as well.

The really sad crap is family's being suckered to leave for a notable programs 15U " AAA " team....     15AAA is 16U tier 2 but hey that extra A gets the checkbook out.

My question is if they’d stayed would it make a HS difference? Did these minot/bismarck kids from pw to ban win at AA on the way up?

and I’m not arguing that leaving early for the pay to play AAA is smart. I agree that’s a poor decision, especially given Canadian juniors can play NCAA now.

Hats off to the Legacy goaltender.  68 saves, three off Walski's state tournament record.

Best two teams in the ship should be a battle.  I'll pick RR.

I think he would’ve easily broken the record if GFC didn’t have to kill that 5 minute penalty towards the end of the 3rd.

State should be in GF every year.

So 800 fans can squeeze into a 11600+ arena?

There was lots empty seats for the semis at Scheels last night.

Considering it is usually both GF schools in the finals I can see that.

If we want to watch competitive hockey in the state they need to treat hockey the same as they do football.

Quarterfinals and semifinals should be at the home rink of the higher seed.

I am sure most of of here have played high school sports and when you travel to a tournament or out of town game that requires you to stay overnight and play in an empty facility is a lot different than having your entire fan base in buzzing facility for both the home and away teams.

You could do the same as football and alternate between Grand Forks and Fargo for the finals.

edit: I should note, a 10-1 drubbing is a 10-1 drubbing. But at least more of your fan base can watch than the 50 parents and the few kids that are there just because they don’t want to be in school.

Someone mentioned it earlier, and it shocked me was that you only had one Bantam team from GF qualify for the state tournament.

Watched a bit of the AA this morning.  Good game between WF and GF.  Bismarck hockey cam on YouTube if anyone interested.

And volleyball, and basketball, and baseball, and wrestling, and probably speech, band, orchestra etc. - more than one level of play.
