At least they didn't make it you have to have ties to Minnesota to be the head coach.

Off topic & not directly NCAA Hockey related, but still so devastated about the loss of Jessi Pierce & her 3 children this past weekend. An absolute legend of the Minnesota Hockey community and media sphere, heartwarming to see those across the hockey world pay tribute to her. 💔💔❤️

I will say it was funny that someone got the rumor mill going yesterday with talk of Fersch and the buyout.  

I've always thought Larson was an excellent coach, let's see what he does in Minneapolis.

After Raboin (and not able to lure Fersch) that's the safe bet. 

Larson is likely very willing given the questions surrounding the whole of SCSU.

I was nearly shocked he was able to keep SC as competitive as he did.  I expect him to turn MN around quickly.

I'm at peace with that decision if that's the case.  Although the last 3 years haven't gone great, SCSU the school is a dumpster fire and maybe that plays a role.  He seems to have the respect of the rest of the NCHC and college hockey as well.  

He came out of left field for me personally, but that's why I'm just an idiot on the internet.  Let's see if any Huskies hit the portal and come to dinkytown with him, there's a couple holes to fill.
