Popular Post Wilbur Posted Thursday at 03:25 PM Popular Post Posted Thursday at 03:25 PM Hi, Wilbur here from SS.com. Bill can you speak on how terrible our athletics programs are as a whole now. Really a dark time for UND and your comment on that? 1 4 Quote
UND1983 Posted Thursday at 03:26 PM Posted Thursday at 03:26 PM Jax talked about all the support coaches - so are they all back also? Quote
1972 Posted Thursday at 03:26 PM Posted Thursday at 03:26 PM like hearing that Jax is going to hold players to a higher standard...will he follow thru? 1 Quote

1972 Posted Thursday at 03:29 PM Posted Thursday at 03:29 PM from the little that Jax has spoken (if i can read between the lines) seems that the claims that he and BB had a differnt view of what should be going on with the hockey program may be correct 2 Quote
Green Banner Posted Thursday at 03:31 PM Posted Thursday at 03:31 PM Does Chaves only own 1 suit? 2 Quote
Popular Post Goon Posted Thursday at 03:32 PM Popular Post Posted Thursday at 03:32 PM Coach just took a shot or two at the players the leave for money or don’t want to be there. Nice! 13 Quote
Wilbur Posted Thursday at 03:32 PM Posted Thursday at 03:32 PM Again, Wilbur from SS.com Dane, the program throws around the word "culture" a lot....a lot. Heck, you just mentioned it. Would you agree with the statement that the culture of our program is in one of the worst places it's ever been? Follow up, is that a reason we never saw a #full60? 3 Quote

Also, a message. 1 5 Quote

I take it as uber talentedkids who want to come here to be the best they can and get to the next place are more than welcome 1 Quote

dden3 Posted Thursday at 03:36 PM Posted Thursday at 03:36 PM Noticed that Chaves is very much an "at the end of the day" sort of guy. low brow of Jax not to mention Berry. Quote

tnt Posted Thursday at 03:37 PM Posted Thursday at 03:37 PM Thought it was interesting that he mentioned Berry as one of the coaches he thanked, but when he was talking about coaches and culture, Berry wasn't mentioned with the other coaches that time around. Very telling. 1 Quote

RhettRingers Posted Thursday at 03:38 PM Posted Thursday at 03:38 PM From what I have been told BB thought the program would run itself just with the history of it and he didn't have to keep up with the times of the new era of NCAA athletics. Dane had different ideas, but it was ultimately BBs decision. 1 2 Quote

I am surprised how bad of a public speaker he is. I appreciate he has notes to make sure he tells the right stories. But read the script instead of speaking from the heart too much for me. He's not very good at it, but I'm completely OK with that. We're not looking for a politician here. If he's good one-on-one with players, recruits and coaches and good with the team in pressured game situations, I'm happy. He has a civic responsibility as well, where public speaking is required, but if he's honest, it'll work out. 9 Quote
