You would think with all the support of Raboin on this forum that Chaves would be hearing similar praise from those advising him.

Who is advising Chavez is the question? Martinson?

I would have to think Chaves is leaning on Marty big time for this.

A few questIons I would like answered by Dane Jackson before I would consider promoting him:

Why did the penalty kill perform so poorly for a large portion of the season?

Why do we seem to have so much trouble passing and receiving the puck?

Why are we constantly bringing in starting goalies from the portal every damn year? How do you plan to use the portal?

Why is there no chemistry with the players? Line juggling, locker room issues, other?

Why do we seem to have more injuries than other teams?

Why do we seem to go into a shell in the 3rd period when leading? Are we trying to win games, or trying not to lose? Do we want an attack or defensive style of play?

Any chance you would stop scheduling Bemidji State every year?

Excellent list of questions!

Another thing that drove me crazy was seemingly easy opportunities to simply get the puck out of the zone even if there weren’t any good passing opportunities; to throw the puck off the glass or boards, reset, and live to fight another day. But instead, we get cute with the puck, turn it over, and then get hemmed in our zone to where we either get scored on or take a penalty. There’s no question in there but rather just something I’d want addressed and acknowledged by Dane.

Does he have d1 hockey expierence?

Nope. But he has played, been a referee, sits on the hockey rules committee and has a passion for hockey. He is much more in the know then Chaves.

Just got the news Raboin was never interested. If I had to guess he’s waiting for Motzko to be done.

Then it’s probably Jackson and Blaishill and if that’s the case we just go with Jackson.

So he doesn’t know what it takes to win?  Just knows rules and likes hockey?

O.k. So how has he improved Michigan?  What did he do as an assistant at Harvard? Don’t remember Harvard winning anything.  Besides, since UND isn’t even being considered by top recruits, shouldn’t we have a coach that can do more with less?  Regardless I will be looking to see Rassey taking over a blue blood in the next year or two.

I am not anybody's agent.  I think on the surface, a guy who was assistant at Harvard and Associate at Michigan is very attractive.  Michigan won the Big 10 and Harvard won in that time frame as well at least a beanpot? (i'm not doing homework on this as I am not that invested), while both produced NHL talent.

From my lens, the superstars that came to UND and took us deep made me love the program more and made me watch them all in the NHL...I followed Parise, Oshie, Toews, Zajac, Stafford, Nelson, Kristo, Grimaldi...I still pay attention when they do something.

We need that again.  I could go way, way back, and the guys i watched growing up, but as an adult...it was fun to watch these elite players make a go, and even if they lost in the Frozen Four, I loved watching them in the NHL

Per source, the team met with the athletic Director and multiple players said they are porting out if Jack doesn’t get it almost like the women’s basketball team

So the nuts run the asylum? How did we get to this point as a program??

Next head coach needs to take a page out of the Carle recruiting book and lay a plan out year to year with each recruit and how he sees them contributing to the team.

this is exactly what Carle does and it is excellent.
