If they bring in a D, it won’t be anybody flashy, just an extra body who shoots right and is more experienced than Komzak from a Sacred Heart or something. Schlossman says it’s likely Schultz, O’Neill, and Simpson all go back to juniors next year so I’d imagine they add 3 more guys from the CHL max, and 2 portal forwards, preferably centers. As it stands, they need to fill 5 spots up front Quote

The type of friend you want to go to a casino with. If another top-15 team picks him up, would not be surprised in the least if he wins another title. Some people's lives are more favorably scripted than others. At any rate, interesting that he played 42 games last year for Western, which means he dressed for all their games, I think. Maybe he's being shown the door, because it's rare that an everyday player from a championship team wants to transfer. He may be useful at UND as an extra skater for games or when a top-9 forward is injured or ill; he's got plenty of experience & he's a center. A true depth guy. Quote

Yes, it helps that he is a center (if UND is looking at him, at least). I would guess that he was told there isn't room for him at WMU next year...they have such a huge backlog of recruits, I'm guessing they need to bring in a few plus the portals they already picked up plus I'd think they'd also want some CHL guys. 1 Quote

Wonder if the Red Wings want Cleveland in the state of Michigan and/or at a program they like more than Wisconsin and Colorado College. Quote

Was thinking the same thing that Komzak is leaving because the coaches told him another D was coming in. He could have left immediately when the portal opened 2+ weeks ago, but elected to wait until now. 1 Quote
tnt Posted Thursday at 02:26 AM Posted Thursday at 02:26 AM That Luke Ashton from Minnesota State is a big boy at 6’6 and had a decent freshman year. Quote
