I’m at the CC game but heard the outcome of the UND game but would someone bring me up to speed on who took the late penalty and for what?

Kurtz for a text book interference while we where on the pp in the final few minutes of a tie game...just not good

What the hell happened?  Swanson was on the first line in the first and they were generating chances.  Then the second starts and Omac is out with Berg and Perron.  Swanson needs to be with some skill guys that can keep up.

Western really put the clamps on Sioux for stretches; we couldn't get the puck out of our own zone.  I swear both their goals came from bad turnovers trying to clear the zone.  The capper was getting the power play at the end and then giving it right back.  Maybe UND deserved a better fate, but it seems the margin of error is pretty slim to start with...even more so against a quality opponent.

I said to the TV, "Nobody touch anyone now that we've got this late power play."

And then just like my kids, the exact opposite happened.

I imagine Schlossman is gathering all those xG stats for his game story and blog.

Berry with TH:

-First period was good, 1st five of 2nd sucked.  3rd was good.

-Two similar teams.

-We let it get away.

-PK at the end cost us.

Missed the last part as my 4 year old decided to spill something.

So in a game you needed in the worst way, you have a 1-0 lead and know that the next goal could go a long way in determining the game, and Western comes out in the second with the intensity.  Kind of reminds me of our loss to Michigan in the tournament last year.  I know games ebb and flow all the time, but when you come out of crucial intermissions and are totally overwhelmed, that is a problem with your intensity, especially when you are getting closer to desperation mode.

Watched tonight's game with my Dad who is not a hockey guru by any means.  He was asking me why North Dakota looked so good in the first but was having trouble getting the puck out of their own end after that.  I had to go with the Hennessy answer that "the other team is trying too" but it seemed like we really struggled to keep up the intensity to be able to go play offense for long stretches in the second and third period.

The analytics excuse mantra is getting a bit long in the tooth.

Watching CC and seeing how they are scoring and why UND doesn't score. Get is the dirty areas and win battles to get the puck in the net.

To get in the dirty areas you need grit.

Watching Laba's goals and thinking man if guys at UND did this

How many guys on the current roster could play that style?  Kunz, Croal, Littler?

They should. Kunz used his size in front of the net good things would happen

A win tomorrow night over #7 WMU could sure do wonders.
Make it happen boys.

1st period they looked good.  Came out sloppy in the 2nd and they got burned.
Need to do a better job at clearing the zone.

Bump dominates.  TJ starts tomorrow.  And another Dman injury with Strathmann.

The Western Michigan star sophomore Bump from Prior Lake, Minn., scored the game-tying goal early in the third period, then gave the Broncos a 3-2 victory over UND with a power-play goal in overtime.

His stat line was staggering: 16 attempted shots, 10 shots on goal, two goals and plus-1 rating.

Berry indicated T.J. Semptimphelter will start the series finale.

"T.J. is a very good goaltender as well and might have an opportunity tomorrow," Berry said. "Our decision isn't based on losing the game."

UND also could have a change on defense.

Sophomore Andrew Strathmann left the game with an upper-body injury after sustaining a high hit by Tim Washe in the second period. UND challenged for a major, but officials rule it was not. Dane Montgomery replaced him on the back end for the rest of the game.
