It is honestly a slap in the face to a player that has been asked to do pretty much everything but goalie...he has worked harder than anyone on the ice, don't care if he isn't as skilled...the high end skill players aren't showing up, so whats the harm in playing 5?

They can't sit him in the stands because he's wearing a letter, but if you don't play him when you need to have both Croal and Littler in the lineup like tonight. It's really a joke to him, hey you good enough to wear this letter but not good enough to actually play more than 2 shifts when we have players being dumb.

Yes, those games are killers, but even if they won them, they would still need to play well down the stretch.  There are probably top 10 teams in the pairwise right now that will be watching the tournament on tv, because you can move up or down quite a bit from weekend to weekend, much less with all league games from here on out.

Right. But the comment "those games are looming large now" is dumb. They've been looming large all year. Just because time's running out doesn't make those losses worse than they already were.

Yes, and the biggest problem for this inconsistent team is it doesn’t give them any room for error the second half, especially against those teams behind them in the pairwise.  I do not want to hear Berry touting at the end of the season that if we could have got in the tournament we were playing well like they said a few years ago when St. Cloud ended their season in overtime at the Frozen Faceoff.

What the hell happened?  Swanson was on the first line in the first and they were generating chances.  Then the second starts and Omac is out with Berg and Perron.  Swanson needs to be with some skill guys that can keep up.

Western really put the clamps on Sioux for stretches; we couldn't get the puck out of our own zone.  I swear both their goals came from bad turnovers trying to clear the zone.  The capper was getting the power play at the end and then giving it right back.  Maybe UND deserved a better fate, but it seems the margin of error is pretty slim to start with...even more so against a quality opponent.

Exactly, by leading by example by still giving everything in practice despite not seeing the ice all the time.  Frankly, if it is basically a wash between him and a young guy, I would rather the young guy get time, so if this year doesn’t turn around we at least have a bit more experience going forward with potentially a bigger upside.

Some of the roster management decisions by Berry should be questioned by the G.F. sports media. But we all know that isn't going to happen.
