Midwestern Hawk Posted October 27 Posted October 27 They obviously had never practiced the play so Q knew what to do if the motion guy was covered by a defender... https://x.com/NCAA_FCS/status/1850350551399055774 Quote
wheelsup Posted October 27 Posted October 27 was 67 eligible on that play? I think he might have been. still a dumb play. Quote

90siouxfan Posted October 27 Posted October 27 I recall there were flags on the play for an ineligible player downfield, I assumed it was that guy but I was busy hitting the red X to escape the entire mess... 1 Quote

I think the guy was an eligible receiver.. announcers say he was a lineman.. but he was lined up basically as a TE and then blocked and went out for a pass. Probably was the 2nd option on that play. He was. OMG...that is even more pathetic then. Reminds me of the fumbled trick play at Missouri State in 2021... Maybe Belquist was supposed to catch it after being deflected off the hands of #67? Frustrating to rewatch. Never really had a chance. 1 Quote

geaux_sioux Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Simon was 19-24 with bad drops and they took him off the field for the biggest play of the year on the road outside and at night and had a te throw his first pass of the year after blocking all game. Am I missing anything? 1 Quote
UND Football Fan Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Not sure how many times it was practiced but A: 67 was not any option, because he reacted like a guy who never caught a pass in his life B: if practiced it was probably half @ss because Q reacted like WTF do I do now since they were on him within 2 seconds. F'n Hawks Posted October 27 Posted October 27 This sucks and because of the extension Bubba is back next year. Promoting Schwenzfeier was a bad move at the time and is looking even worse that previously imagined. That may be the worse UND football defensive performance of all time considering how bad Youngstown is. Quote

Watching that play again...on some level its hysterical and indicative of Bubba's reign at UND...2 point play for the win...a TE throwing a pass to an offensive lineman...and he wonders why it was not complete? 1 Quote

Nothing about Bubba screams inspiration. Think of it, the only time his team looked truly inspired was against the Bison last year as a result of a Dale Lennon speech. 2 Quote

An sdsu guy debunked this on Twitter, no linemen are eligible in college football. Who was Q trying to throw to? Quote
