Of the teams in the current top 15 of PWR...if UND doesn't go on a miracle run, I'd be rooting for Maine I think. 3 Quote

Godsmack Posted March 18 Posted March 18 There’s a good article on CHN by Adam Woden about the CC program this year and some honest reflection by coach Mayotte. 1 Quote

brianvf Posted March 20 Posted March 20 UConn beat BU today to get their spot in the HEA championship. UConn is surprising this year for sure. Quote
brianvf Posted March 20 Posted March 20 And just checking UConn's team page...man, they are young too. Of their top 12 scorers, only one is running out of eligibility this year. Their top 2 scorers are only SO. They could be good for a couple years if they don't get hit with too many portals or pro signees. Quote

They play a good brand of hockey and all of the lines are all in with their system. I watch a lot of college hockey, and they are very good. Just goes to show you do not need "blue chippas" to win. The only one they had transferred to Minny last year. Should give a lot of thought for those thinking the pasture is greener elsewhere. You are right in that they are set up for not only a good run this year, but also in the NCAA's. This may not be their year to bring home the hardware, but they are one of eight that I give a good chance to be in the Frozen Four. Depends on who they get matched up against in the tourney. 2 Quote

brianvf Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Northeastern going for the upset in the late game. They're up 3-2 on Maine halfway thru the 3rd. They're the only team in the HEA playoffs that are outside the PWR top 15, so they could move the cut line down a notch if they were to win. Quote

Godsmack Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Listening to NU/Maine game on radio in overtime as we don’t get NESN. I bet Michigan are huge Blackbears fans right now. 1 1 Quote
brianvf Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Hopefully we can win the NCHC tourney and in a way end Michigan's season as a payback for last season. 2 1 Quote
