Gene Roebuck would have broken 5 clipboards by now. Of course if Gene were here, we would never look like this either. Dribble through zone press - turnover. Hold the ball forever and not recognize they are playing zone - bad shot or turnover. No defense. No fire other than Schiller. We are on course to surpass our own turnover record of 28. Likely going to beat it tonight. It is getting really hard to talk myself into going to watch these. Clearly time for a change… I like the breaking clipboard type Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted Wednesday at 02:58 AM Posted Wednesday at 02:58 AM We pull away and win 73-61 things just will get a lot tougher not very optimistic right now Quote

NewUndFan Posted Wednesday at 03:16 AM Posted Wednesday at 03:16 AM Dakota State beat Mayville by 26. Tonight SDSU beat Dakota State by almost 40. Should give us a clue how far behind we are in the summit. 1 Quote

ndsportfan Posted Wednesday at 03:30 AM Posted Wednesday at 03:30 AM Even though they got a W tonight.... that was a total loss for UND. Mayville State barely has enough to field a team and had to recruit on campus to fill a roster and they almost beat UND and honestly dominated the majority of the game. They were out hustled, out played, and definitely outcoached! Quote
sioux24/7 Posted Wednesday at 03:32 AM Posted Wednesday at 03:32 AM Which basketball program are we feeling better about? It’s probably the men’s team but idk it’s close. 2 Quote

shep Posted Wednesday at 01:27 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:27 PM Lots of TOs by players dribbling into trouble. I thought the D was much better v Bethel. Last night was a step back. Quote
ND-fan Posted Wednesday at 04:12 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 04:12 PM I thought that Bernhard could turn the corner as coach and she has recruited better talent here in last two years but what I see is we get players here and if anything I see regression in their fundamental basketball as their careers move along. The program right now should be playing better basketball with the talent we have here now. Chaves needs to address this by end of the season and probably they need to move Mallory into another roll at UND. If Mallory is ever going to coach at this level she needs to be assistant with another coach learn how they develop players and teach fundamentals to their players. I have feeling she has couple of assistant coaches that could help her now but she is falling back into her style of coaching as she played basketball not trusting or wanting to change. Quote

You are seeing talent where it doesn't exist! Quote
ND-fan Posted Thursday at 05:07 AM Author Posted Thursday at 05:07 AM Yes, there is talent on this team. Pemberton has talent and has even gotten better without coaching . Schiller can become very good point guard. Ibrahim is rough but with some work on fundamentals should have been redshirted last year but we needed some length. Piekny looks to be long and quick and has nice shot. Horne, Demers, and Volmer (if she gets healthy) can play minutes in various rolls. Couple of other freshmen to early to tell what there future. The players I have mentioned are quick enough to be effective at Division I and with proper coaching we would see the talent come through. The rest on team I don’t think should be playing division I basketball they have some skills to play at this level but not enough to succeed .This how I see it now with this team. The elite team in Summit is South Dakota State they could end up being top 25 team this year but will be hard to get to with rest of the Summit. North Dakota state and Oral Roberts will battle for number two in conference. St Thomas will round out top four. The rest of Summit will be question who has most home wins to come in fifth. Should be year of playing your players who have most talent and see if can develop beginnings of competitive team. We need to still find players with length and speed priority in next years recruiting class and again and again. Quote

108498 Posted Saturday at 03:36 PM Posted Saturday at 03:36 PM Does anyone know what color UND will wear today in Laramie? I would love to wear the same color jersey. I have a green and a black one. Quote
petey23 Posted Saturday at 08:51 PM Posted Saturday at 08:51 PM Saw UND is down at half at Wyoming. UND's has turned it over on half....yes, half of their possessions. That is 6th grade girls basketball level. 1 Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted Saturday at 08:52 PM Posted Saturday at 08:52 PM Down by 13 at the half at Wyoming same old same old 16 turnovers - just under an amazing one a minute- just not improving - after Mal acknowledged the problem and said they were working on it 1-8 from three doing good rebounds Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted Saturday at 09:19 PM Posted Saturday at 09:19 PM Of the nine players that Wyoming has played so far the shortest is 5’ 10”. Lots of length we are still out rebounding them though Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted Saturday at 09:49 PM Posted Saturday at 09:49 PM Lose to Wyoming 73-41 we scored three points in the 4th quarter we had 29 turnovers - they had 17 steals - we can’t dribble or pass as we had six assists we were 2-13 from the three demers had 13 points - only player over six points today we are doing ugly with no end in sight Quote
