SiouxFan100 Posted September 20 Posted September 20 I hope Carson has a great game and lead to a Viking win Quote
Wilbur Posted September 21 Author Posted September 21 17-0 Vikes. Wentz managing the game so far. Missed a throw or two but I'm a viking fan and know you can't be upset when its 17-0. Quote

SiouxFanatic Posted September 21 Posted September 21 You know it’s an ass whooping when CBS quits airing the game barely into the 3rd quarter. Good game for the Vikings but the Bengals are/were awful. Quote
Godsmack Posted September 21 Posted September 21 My wife has the Vikings defense on her fantasy team and I think she said she got over 30 points from them today. I don’t play fantasy football but I think that’s okay. 1 Quote
Wilbur Posted September 21 Author Posted September 21 Nice to see the team win and the North Dakota native get a win in his debut. Met Carson a few years back at a Landon's Light charity event in West Fargo. Salt of the earth human being. Whether he wins games or not with the Vikings I'll still have the forever impression that he is a good person. Now we head overseas and see two QBs that combined age is 81 years old. 2 Quote
Wilbur Posted Sunday at 02:30 PM Author Posted Sunday at 02:30 PM Well we lose our right tackle and KOC is struggling with the play calling thus far. Still early, and now the defense can't tackle. 1 Quote
Hawkster Posted Sunday at 03:30 PM Posted Sunday at 03:30 PM Wentz being Wentz today. Sacks and interceptions abound. 1 Quote

Hasn't been great, but the o-line is in shambles and the play calling has again reared its ugly head into conversation again. I can't imagine they want JJ coming back next week with this o-line going against the Browns. I'd hold him out until after Philly at the least. 1 Quote
rochsioux Posted Sunday at 04:49 PM Posted Sunday at 04:49 PM O’Connell may be good working with QBs and designing plays but he is a terrible play caller. 2 Quote

OL is a mess but he's made some really bad decisions too. Last offensive play of game he throws down the middle with 8 seconds left and no timeouts. Even if completed the time runs out. A few chances to throw the ball away today but ate it instead. He isn't the answer long term. Quote

Wilbur Posted Sunday at 04:57 PM Author Posted Sunday at 04:57 PM Truth be told, that would've been a crime had they won. Defense was awful. Not Wentz's best game, but he battled, and I appreciate that. He's going to need an ice bath afterwards. 1 Quote
rochsioux Posted Sunday at 05:04 PM Posted Sunday at 05:04 PM The Vikings will never join the elite teams that have true Super Bowl possibilities until they fix the offensive line and to some extent the defensive line. Not physical enough and they lose the battles upfront too often. There’s a reason the Eagles keep winning, they have one of the best if not the best offensive and defensive line combos in the NFL. 1 Quote

They tried this year but are missing 3 OL starters and Darrisaw was out for the first 2 games as well. Not sure they are elite but getting into the backups really takes a step backwards. Quote

They need to get healthy in a hurry, after the Browns and a bye week they have the Eagles, Chargers, Lions, and Ravens. They could easily be 3-6 or 4-5 after those games. Losing to Atlanta at home is a major red flag on this season. Quote

He isn't the answer long term. The game wasn't as close as the score would indicate. Wentz simply isn't getting it done, McCarthy at least rallied the team back from the dead in the season opener against Chicago. Wentz seemed like he was banged up after those sacks. No surprise, he's been hurt more than healthy over the years. Wentz just isn't the answer. Quote
Wilbur Posted Sunday at 07:25 PM Author Posted Sunday at 07:25 PM I'm worried that with this line you'll end up getting JJ hurt when he's back. KOC is going to need to go max protect and chip a lot. Teams like the Eagles will get pressure with 4 and just roll coverage on Jefferson. Micah Parsons also picking his chops. Quote
Frozen4sioux Posted Monday at 02:40 AM Posted Monday at 02:40 AM Of all the rigged games to ever be rigged this one stank like it was rigged the most..... up until the point that Wentz was incompetent in executing the script. 1 Quote
Blackheart Posted Monday at 05:22 PM Posted Monday at 05:22 PM What's KOC whispering to his quarterbacks today? Quote
