And if they do start asking for money, might as well ditch the annual meet the team and autograph session, unless you have tables saying how much money each is asking for their autograph. At some point, college athletics will completely lose its allure. Spent the evening with inlaws in Ann Arbor last night--big UM fans. There were saying that Michigan took a while to mobilize on the NIL front but that they have kicked it into full gear now. That and seeing the PAC schools moving to the Big 10 is another reminder where college athletics has been headed for some time. Have to believe there will be some efforts to mitigate the effects of NIL, though. Quote
brianvf Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 WMU beats FSU 6-4. Maine beats RPI 4-1. Air Force leads MSU 2-0 near the end of the 1st. Quote
brianvf Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 Air Force up 3-0 on Michigan St after one period. Matteo Costantini centered WMU's 2nd line in their game against FSU. He didn't register any points but it appears WMU has a new strong 1st line after losing their entire 1st line from last year. Wendt/Grainger/Phillips combined for 4 goals/8 assists in their first game. Quote
brianvf Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 Air Force 5-3 over MSU after 2 periods. Quote

The Sicatoka Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 Respectfully disagree with Schloss, and no disrespect to Berg, but I'd have Ludvig Persson at #1. Reasoning in one word: Goalie. 1 Quote
Kevin G Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 Saw just a bit of WMU-Ferris State last night, and there's Matteo Costantini. Saw just a bit of BC-Quinnipiac last weekend, and there's Cooper Moore. Read the RPI-Maine box score, and there's Brendan Budy listed on RPI's top line. It's just kind of weird how many former UND players there are on other teams. Quote
