Definitely could have gotten the 2 state qualifying games in late afternoon/early evening opposed to tomorrow's mess. Way to go Rerick. There were at least two teams traveling in through weather (Blizzard warning was scheduled to end at 6:00), two local teams, plus on and off-ice officials, venue staff, and other logistics to put into place. Lots of moving pieces. The championship game added yet another layer. The event organizers (local AND state) are certainly not above criticism here (especially for travel contingencies that could have been planned in advance and cost avoidance measures bordering on the extreme/absurd), but playing Sunday night quarterback and micro-analyzing one single decision made earlier this morning is frankly unfair.
