scpa0305 Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Boy Cornell has lost to Princeton and tied Dartmouth since we were swept by them. Still can’t believe that. If we miss NCAAs it will be because of that weekend (at home nonetheless). 3 Quote

Quote Michigan coach Mel Pearson is accused of instructing players to lie on their COVID-19 tracing forms during last year's NCAA Tournament, ... There's a line, and if that's true, Mel Pearson and Michigan is way over it. And by way I mean the punishment should mirror that of SMU Football back in the day. A coach should not be instructing their charges to lie. And Pearson, did he lie again about GLI reasons? Over the line. Period. All Michigan is missing is their version of a Penn State problem (or do they already have it with Dr. Anderson if some student-athletes were 17). That article is damning if 25% of it is true. 3 Quote

90siouxfan Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 Pearson allowed the roommate of a player who had tested positive for COVID to come on the trip. Teams bring randos to regionals? Quote

Teams bring randos to regionals? “Roommate” was also a player on the team. Which basically explains why they had to forfeit. Player who’s roommate was left back with Covid tests positive when he gets to Fargo. Maybe if they had left him back with his roommate they would’ve been cleared to play. I don’t know how many they had test positive though, could’ve been more than just that player. Quote

Quote At the time, there were sources that indicated Pearson allowed the roommate of a player who had tested positive for COVID to come on the trip. That roommate later developed symptoms while at the NCAA Regional in Fargo, and the whole team was considered a close contact. Why would they refer to a "roommate of a player" if the "roommate" was also a player? Wouldn't they just say "a player"? Clear writing would say "brought a player whose roommate had tested positive" ... "that player later developed" ... Put another way ... "Neil Eisenhut's roommate was on the trip" or "Murray Baron was on the trip"? (Swap in Valk/Smith or Marvin/McFarlane or Parent/Bobyck at your leisure.) Quote

Doesn’t bode well for their postseason chances. Quote
