sioux rube
The North Stars played their last game at home, as a franchise, on this day April 13th, 1993. They would lose to the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2. The last goals from Minnesota came from Mike McPhee and Russ Courtnall

Brad Berry. Winning goalie? Ed Belfour. And two of my other all time favorites were on the Chicago bench: Troy Murray and Dave Christian. Thanks for the flashback.

Craig Ludwig, Brad Berry and Goalie Jon Casey played for Stars. Troy Murray, Ed Balfour, and Dave Christian for Hawks but I’m not sure Christian played this game. Good UND hockey trivia question: name the 6 former UND players on the opposing teams in the last Northstars home game.

Don’t forget the two former assistant coaches that participated, one as a coach and one as a player, in Rick Wilson and Mark Osieki.

LuvHockey
Boeser had another sweet goal last night. Pinto had his 4th game, played penalty kill, had lots of shifts, still doing well on faceoffs..

cberkas
Turner Sports signs a 7 year deal with the NHL Once NBC got rid of NBCSN you could see that NBC wasn't going to sign a new deal with the NHL
sioux rube
So, looks like the NHL signed a 225M deal on top of the 400M deal they had locked up already. Annual revenues from US TV goes from about 6.5M to 19M.

LuvHockey
Upgrade? To Bucci/Melrose? The only upgrade is to get rid of Pierre McGuire......... Yet to see just how many games they broadcast live, not just NY vs. Pittsburgh or Boston vs Philly over and over. TNT holds better hope in my book.
